Hunter Biden's gun pouch had cocaine residue on it, prosecutors say

Prosecutors say FBI analyzed white powdery residue and determined it was cocaine

Federal prosecutors say a brown leather pouch used by Hunter Biden to store a gun had cocaine on it.

On Tuesday, prosecutors asked a judge to reject President Biden’s son Hunter’s efforts to dismiss gun charges because investigators found cocaine residue on the pouch used to hold his gun.

Prosecutors told the judge that "the strength of the evidence against him is overwhelming," rejecting Hunter Biden’s claims that he was being singled out for political reasons....

    From the indictment

"on or about October 12, 2018, in the District of Delaware, the defendant, Robert Hunter Biden, in connection with the acquisition of a firearm, that is, a Colt Cobra 38SPL Revolver with serial number RA 551363…knowingly made a false and fictitious written statement, intended and likely to deceive that dealer with respect to a fact material to the lawfulness of the sale of the firearm…in that the defendant, Robert Hunter Biden, provided a written statement on Form 4473 certifying he was not an unlawful user of, and addicted to, any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled substance, when in fact, as he knew, that statement was false and fictitious."

    and

"on or about October 12, 2018, through on or about October 23, 2018, in the District of Delaware, the defendant Robert Hunter Biden, knowing that he was an unlawful user of and addicted to any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled substance…did knowingly possess a firearm, that is, a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver with serial number RA 551363, said firearm having been shipped and transported in interstate commerce."

They got him on this one. And of course points to the drugs found in the White House and the sham investigation into to those when a President doing his duty would have been publicly outraged that it occurred and heads would have rolled.

So should The Big Guy pardon him, he does owe him something for all the money funneled to him.

Strange to see all the people that typically run around screaming “shall not be infringed” are cheering it being infringed.

Should drug use or a piece of paper disqualify someone from possessing a firearm? Yes or no?

I bet you that dude still smokes more crack than just about anyone.

Let the average person get caught illegally possessing a gun and cocaine and see how many years their ass goes to prison.

But he's a Democrat so nothing will come of it

Your legs must be tired from jumping to so many conclusions.

On the final point, I will be surprised if Joe pardons Hunter. I know MAGA thinks the pardon power is something that should be used for personal benefit but Democrats still have principles. Joe is an ethical man who is unlikely to pardon Hunter unless he is sentenced to something unusually severe.

I read a research paper that said a huge percentage of paper money in the U.SA is contaminated with Cocaine

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contaminated_currency
Would you not also have to prove that the quantity on the gun surpassed the legal amount?

Who’s the victim here? Did he pay for the gun? Sales tax on the transaction? Did he steal the cocaine?
And while I hope Biden uses his pardon power honorably, part of me would like to see right wing hypocrites lose their mind for pardoning Hunter while ignoring trump pardoning all his buddies who refuses to cooperate with law enforcement.

10 post before someone had to bring up Trump. I think that's probably a new record.

I guess we could say that society is simply fortunate that Hunter didn't start shooting at shadow people during one of his Coke binges.

So now its (shall not be infringed) for drug users?
Funny how the left jumps back and forth on gun laws when one of their ilk gets caught breaking federal gun laws.
The very same gun laws they voted to institute.
    The hypocrisy is unbelievable

In my state, the gun charge alone will get you a mandatory two year minimum.

Tweaking is a term for meth users. Hunter smokes crack so it's far more likely that he's jacked up on coke.

Also people on speed whether it's cocaine or meth have eyes that are wide ass open

The 'Big Guy', unlike the one you devote your devotion to, clearly said he would not pardon his son.

By the way, Joe Biden did nothing when the DOJ brought charges against Hunter, which totally debunks the right-wing mantra that Garland is at the behest of the POTUS.

OK then get rid of all gun restriction and regulation since you don't believe they should be enforced.

MAGA claims that Joe Biden controls the DOJ for political gain.

How come he didn't stop Garland from suing his own son?
