I understand why everyone likes money, especially with all the growing up corporate* commercials, and with media glorifying the green stuff, and I ain't talking about sensie'. Life taught me the hard way that the old saying is true; i.e. no amount of 'money can't buy the important things'. Believe it or not, most of the happiest times in my life have happened when I was fairly broke. Not that I have ever been rich, I have been wealthy well maybe it was upper middle class, I was making a little over 100k in the late 80's while living in AK. Anyway that was the only time I was tempted to do the nasty, i.e. suicide. Luckily, I quickly became broke again, lol. I guess I am asking why do you (or any member) put such a value on money? Or would you be happy with just a little? (around 30>50k?). Ha ha don’t get the wrong idea I don’t intend to give away the stuff I am just curious~ notes; *Also the title of an old but relevant book by an author that I kind of detest. rev
I am a poor black male in a racist capitalist society. If you were a poor black male in a racist capitalist society, what would you take, 100 million dollars or a white woman? I rest my case.
Nothing like smacking that pale ass and leaving hand prints though. Not sure you can put a price tag on that.
Yeah, but you can get those for free. And lust is different than love. Maybe I should have said money cant buy joy? We all know that money can buy pleasure, but pleasure is fleeting. eh? rev
Hell, you can go into a strip club with a few rocks of crack cocaine and go home with at least 6 of the ho's if you want. I've done it.
Can I add a third option? Happiness. Would you choose 100 mil a white woman of your choosing (or a thousand women) or happiness. BTW if you dont choose happiness the other options in the spirit of my reply is sadness. I would choose happiness any day, because I could get the other two or at least have a good possibility of getting enough women and money if I am happy enough to get out of bed and work for what I want. ahh rest my case. rev
True happiness is not to be found in this world. You have to search elsewhere for that. Furthermore, the sooner that you realize that this world is miserable, the sooner you are on the road to happiness.
