" Yes Sir,I don't recall." " No ... I don't recall. " I kinda recall my dog once, getting a hold of a key report I was working on that was on the Kitchen table. " " But other than that ... I don't recall ". " That is correct ... I don't recall. " " would I recall a McDonald's Big Mac that had too many onions.? Honestly I don't recall ever doing that. " " As I recall I cannot honestly say I ever recall being there, Madame Congresswoman. "
The funniest one was when Sessions was asked: "You've said 'I don't recall' over 20 times so far, haven't you?"... and Sessions replied: "I don't recall."
The best part of 2017 has been watching every single member of the administration have a stroke on live television as soon as they're interviewed
Oh ... but we're being informed by some in what a masterful presentation the little southern AG from Alabama, gave. Animal Crackers.Horse feathers. Either Daffy Duck or Bugs Bunny could wipe the floor with the guy. He's starting to appear the cartoon version of Elmer Fudd. I know ... I know.At least he dint give the line another little AG gave to Congress." I refer you to ". " Again ... I refer you too." What's with these little quick kneejerk explanations.? is there somewhere they gotta go.Like a Dentists appointment. Or the Chiropractor.Maybe in the case of AG Jeff Sessions, his mind was elsewhere. On the special Train set he ordered and was told it's in.Plus they also sell little Conductors caps. Plus the whistle.
How come AG sessions couldn't think of that.? As in ... " Whatever Congressman ! " I mean,he'd be a Political Rock star in minutes.
I didn't watch the entire proceedings and it's possible he might have been asked more than once about the number of times he said 'I don't recall' but I did see one time when he responded to the question with "I don't know'. If you think about it 'I don't recall' to the question wouldn't make a lot of sense as the question pertained to what happened within the last hour or so and it's not likely a persons memory would be so bad he wouldn't 'recall' what happened in the last hour. I remember half expecting him to say I don't recall and how stupid that would be if he did. He didn't. He said I don't know.
No that is not what he said he said he wouldn't know but why would the idiot congressman have expect Sessions to keep a tab on the questions about immemorial events of which he was being asked? It was a political stunt on the part of the congressman and served no purpose.
I don't expect he was required to or obligated to keep a running count of how many inane questions he was asked to which he would not have an accurate response but had he said "I believe 19 time" and in fact it was 20 times then the next day the Democrats would have proclaimed he lied before the committee.
Yeah, I know. If it were ME, I would not have been able to resist saying "I don't recall." Or maybe answer a question with another, "I've noticed you have used the word "investigate" 38 times today. Is that correct?". But, you're right, it was a stunt, and there's no way to expect him to have kept a running tab.
Why should AG Sessions give the opposition any information they would use against him or the administration. "I don't recall" leaves them angry and frustrated and less likely to bother Sessions in the future
I agree. Regardless, if I asked you who you spoke to on November 6th 2016 at 3pm... would you be able to recall? I wouldn't. I can barely recall what I had for lunch yesterday.
Or,leaves one thinking that perhaps Sessions is in bad need of Altziemer's medicine---and also leaves the question if this guy is qualified to be the top law official in the country! And your fella trump will take care of Sessions so the Democrats don't have to worry about bothering Sessions in the future---want to place a bet on how much longer Sessions is AG? His testimony was truly pathetic---listen to what he said in part in one sentence-- " I didn't recall this meeting until I read about it & then I recalled that I made the recommendation to Popodopulus not to proceed with the Russian contact, but I can't recall any other discussion that took place in that meeting"------might not be the "exact words, but,my god,3 times to get the story straight & he still can't.
"I know nothing! NOTHING!" "What incontinent loudmouth has been TWEETING, again???" If Sessions can't recall any important stuff, maybe Trumpers could leak it for him.
I haven't been following this, but when I started reading it, I thought it was a transcript of Hillary's testimony.
And who did the Democrats try to elect last year? "In the mid-1990s, federal special prosecutor Kenneth Starr’s investigative team in Little Rock was headed by a veteran of the courtroom, Hickman Ewing Jr. Grilled by Ewing before a grand jury on July 22, l995, Mrs. Clinton used the words “I can’t recall” in answer to 50 questions. Later, Ewing told Starr that he rated Mrs. Clinton’s testimony as deserving an F Minus, and he wanted to indict the nation’s first lady. He was contemplating a number of counts, headed by two major lines of enquiry. First came her handling of the commodity trades and her failure to report her profits to the IRS. Second came her conduct amid the collapse of Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan, owned by Jim McDougal. Relevant to this affair were Hillary Clinton’s billings as a legal counsel to Madison Guaranty. These were germane to the question of whether Hillary was being truthful in denying she’d done any legal work for the bank. After many adventures, the records finally came into the hands of Starr’s team and showed that Hillary Clinton had billed Madison Guaranty at the rate of $150 an hour, with a total of 60 hours of supposed work on the Castle Grande deal. The prosecutors had the billings but were never able to look at Hillary’s time sheets. Her secretary removed them from the Rose Law Firm in 1992, and it’s generally assumed the first lady destroyed them." https://www.counterpunch.org/2007/11/15/hillary-clinton-in-arkansas/ As I recall three times during her "foray" in to futures trading, which she had never in her life done, she had the family bankrupt because of margin calls she could not make. Yet she ended up with one of the most stellar trading records the Chicago Mercantile had ever seen turning the $1,000 into $100,000 in a matter of months or so we are to believe. But when asked how she did it she claimed she could not recall.
