I have figured out why people are Pro-Life. Pregnant women want to be able to drive in the carpool lane by themselves during pregnancy. If abortion was defined as murder, then technically a fetus would be considered a human, therefore pregnant women could drive in the car pool lane. Pro-life people are very sympathetic people and put the pregnant women first.

    That's not the only ramification.

Would a pregnant woman be able to claim her fetus as a dependent on her taxes?

Should we count fetuses in the census? When a woman has a miscarriage, do we count that towards the total number of deaths in the country in a given year?

Should we start giving a Social Security number to each fetus?

Do pregnant women get to count their fetus when receiving welfare benefits?

Should a fetus count towards the total occupancy limit of a car or building? Afterall, it's illegal to have a child sit on your lap while driving(as well as being illegal to have more occupants than seat belts), and the lap is awful darn close to the womb when you're sitting down.

Since a fetus would have rights, should pregnant women be counted as a resident when they redraw political districts?

If a pregnant woman crashes her car while driving too fast and loses her pregnancy, should she be charged with vehicular manslaughter or vehicular homicide?

Would a pregnant woman be barred from somewhere that limits you to people above a certain age since her fetus is -0 years old?

If a fetus is a person, why can't women give them up for adoption?

Since a fetus has rights, and it lives inside it's mother, that makes the mother it's "landlord". Should a mother be charged if the living conditions inside her fetus don't meet standards? On the flip side, can a mother present a bill to her child later on in life for "rent and other expenses" incurred as a result of that child living inside her, especially if it's against her will?

If a pregnant woman is invited to a wedding and is allowed to bring one guest, does her fetus count as that extra person?

If a pregnant woman wanted to go a water park, and there was a minimum height for all "people" allowed in, would she be barred because her fetus(person) wasn't tall enough?

If a pregnant woman wants to attend an R rated movie, would she be barred since her fetus is -0 years old? Could she be brought on charges of child endangerment or whichever charge makes it illegal to expose children to inappropriate material? If a pregnant woman watches a porno, is she endangering the welfare of her fetus?

Why do you we count people's age from the day of their birth and not the day of their conception? If they are people, that means everyone is approximately 9 months older, give or take, than the age we tell people. Technically, I'm 31, not 30. Should a person that's 64 get retirement benefits early if their birthday is within 9 months of the date of the application? Should I be able to vote while 17 as long as it's within nine months till my birthday? If I'm 20, should I be able to buy a gun or purchase alcohol if it's within 9 months till my birthday(boy would the college students love THAT one. Maybe that's a strategy to get the college kids on board with this whole personhood thing?

Most of these are ridiculous, I know, but what's even more ridiculous is the thought of giving rights to a sack of cells inside a woman's body.
