People are upset because woman’s lives and safety will be put in danger. Women and girls died before Roe. Women are dying in Poland and Hungary because of antiabortion laws.

If you really cared about the safety of women you would know that women are dying in hospital beds in Poland and Hungary, and they are dying because they are denied abortion care. It led to Irish voters voting to overturn their anti abortion laws.

I'm not sure where you get self awareness from. I just said they need to have a mind. There is no other logical place for morality to come from because the whole (secular) basis of morality is harm to others. Things which have never had a feeling - who cannot think, feel, or suffer, cannot be harmed because they lack the ability to exist in a mental sense. It is for this very reason that we consider somebody dead when they have brain death. If we could move somebody's mind to a machine, then that machine would become the vehicle of their mind and then destroying that machine would become murder. It has nothing to do with hearts, lungs, livers or kidneys, or unique DNA. We harvest organs after brain death because the person is already dead. The organs aren't dead though because we keep them alive even after the brain dies to save somebody else.

Natural is irrelevant. There is nothing logical about conception being a cutoff point. Nothing morally important changes at conception.

At a recent ultrasound, a 25-year-old woman, excited to be 15 weeks pregnant with her first child, found out devastating news. Her family says doctors told them there's more than a 90% chance the baby will not survive the pregnancy as she has fetal hydrops condition, which is an abnormal accumulation of fluid, as well as Turner syndrome, and other genetic abnormalities.

"They were told that, normally, somebody that would be getting this kind of news would immediately go have an abortion," the woman's mother explained.

The family says they are also concerned about the health of the mother as doctors believe she may be developing what they call Mirror syndrome, which is rare and potentially life-threatening.

"It has been really traumatizing. It's a nightmare for us as a family," the woman's sister said.

In addition, she is also dealing with severe swelling, high blood pressure, and liver enzymes more than double what they should be.

However, under the Texas Heartbeat Act, abortions are illegal past six weeks unless the mother's life is in danger.

"When asked, 'What will be enough, to make her sick enough, to warrant a procedure?' We were told basically a liver failure. Basically, a stroke. Basically, a 911 call," the woman's mother said.
