If the Biden Administration was replaced today how long would it take for the US to revive?

Obama was blocked by Republicans from taking the direction he wanted to take.

He wanted to focus on those at the bottom end of the economic scale - workers, etc.

With tax cuts, he wanted to cut FICA, etc.

Let's remember that corporations recovered almost immediately. Domestic product recovered in something like a year.

However, employment took years to recover.

There was no dam against COVID. Trump ignored fundamental medical science in favor of travel, close contact and ivermectin!.

 

Yep. And the economy went on a 10 yr bull run.
One of the longest in history. I think I already mentioned that to you. Under Obama, the DJI went up 186%. Nearly tripled.
And stayed in the bull run until trump was president and crashed in 2020.

 

Amen. That was a stupendous recovery, moving into a steady growth until Trump.

Now, we have Biden governing steady growth, including wage earners.

Why would we dump that for Trump in his waning years of mental collapse and his calls for dictatorship?

This is all a non-sequitur. Republicans may have mitigated Obama's plans but Obama's Fed still poured over a trillion dollars into the money stream in three (IIRC) "quantitative easings." for example

 

Obama nor any president controls what the Fed Res does. Only the fed res control interest rates.

That policy likely kept the country and perhaps the world from diving into a depression. Afterall, the housing bust was the biggest downturn since the Great Depression.

He got America restarted, handing off a growing economy.

If you want to complain about policy, how about complaining about the policy that killed our economy?

Given the numbers of criminals, perverts and terrorists Biden has let into this country with his open borders policy, it will take years to fix it, if at all.

 

Hopefully 4 years will put a dent in it... mass deportation...

 

I fear that the ACLU, combining with an army of woke lawyers will make deportation, even for the worst offenders difficult. China and Venezuela have indicated that they will not accept them. That is a clear indicator of what those two countries are sending to us - the dregs of their societies.

 

I am still looking for any material or articles of how a physically fit military age Chinese man can escape a communist country half way around the world and arrive at our southern border in a new pair of Nike's and iphone 14..
