We sent well over 50 billion dollars in weapons so far plus money to run the government and of course bribes, and salaries for their military. The US govt has voted another 61 billion needed urgently and that raises the total to 135 billion dollars so far. If we lose, all we will be left with is a damaged Ukraine, and nothing else. And a bigger national debt. It's Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq all over again. But who could possibly have foreseen that??
Not similar to any of those, except perhaps the Soviet war with the Afghans. I'm glad Russia has already been made to pay a heavy price. Well worth it. I hope they lose, of course, but the heavy price at least tamps down imperialism worldwide.
False analogy, this is conventional war, the Ukrainians don't want any direct intervention, we give them the weapons they do the job.
We should always let dictators invade other countries to save a few pennies. Everyone knows stuff like that has no effect on the rest of the world because we live in a vacuum where if we just shut our eyes and plug our ears, the rest of the world doesn't exist and we can pretend we exist on an isolated island with no connection to the outside world. Isn't make-believe fun!
You are using 'dictator' as a label; is it more accurate to claim Pres. Putin is a 'dictator' than to claim Biden is? Which parameter and how much of it is required to distinguish Biden from Putin?
