    Polka: Oompah!

Polka is really big here in Ennis, TX. We even have a huge Polka Festival near Memorial Day if we aren't Coviding.

Interesting. Polka is the last thing that comes to mind when I think about Texas. Who says you can’t learn anything in this forum?

Back when the earth was cooling and I was a young man I used to dance the polka at Jimmie’s Place in Bobtown, PA. It’s in the southwestern part of the state hard by the West Virginia line. As my generation is dying out so is the polka, I guess. Kind of sad.

Randy Newman had a son who had a band called Smashed Infant. That remains the most disturbing band name I have ever heard.

Perhaps I'd like to reserve the band name "Archie Bunker Was Right" for an acid/metal/punk band

It is still one of my life goals to play in a German style punk rock band called "Postkoitales Abhusten".

Of course we would have to be really bad.
