Neighbors seek to shut down 40 year old gun club... http://video.foxnews.com/v/1450146799001/neighbors-take-aim-at-gun-club Onalandline's opinion: They should not have built in that area if they didn't like the gun club.
These are the same kind of people that move in next to a airport, then complain about the noise. I hope the gun club wins their case. As the one guy said ,the gun club was where it was.to get away from people. Now those same people have encroached into the rights of the gun club.
Ayuh,... The Same people who move to the "Country" 'round here, 'n bittch when they see cow $h!t on the hi-way, 'n have to drive through it... The Gun Club was there 1st,... F(*)(*)k the guy with the mansion on the hill....
Would anyone like to live near a gun club? Ok, probably the wrong question in the gun control forum. Now pretend for a moment you are neutral to firearms. The noise aspect. (if shooting occurs outside) and families etc.. thinking of safety.
Think for a minute....why would anyone KNOWINGLY move next to a shooting range,if they already weren't prepared to put up with the noise?
I'm sure you know these people moved there, where the gun club was for over 40 years. Apparently, they weren't thinking.
As are just about every gun club (or at least the vast majority of the people running them). The one I belong to is constantly improving the club facilities with safety being at the forefront.
Yes, and it is important to note, gun safety is usually about the safety of others. Liberals are only concerned with their own safety. They move out to the country to be safe. Then repeat the same mistakes that allowed their former communities to become unsafe in the first place.
Then do not move near a gun range knowing full well there is an operational gun range present. Problem solved.
My back yard is my gun club I must admit though that during hunting season I get a little pissed. Not because of the gun shots but because any idiot that take 3-5 shots at a deer needs to go to a shooting club. It takes one shot and that is all. Getting trigger happy only causes issues for other hunters and shows a true lack of maturity. Morons do not need a hunting licence.
It's usually just a ruse for their own self-interest. ex) We're concerned about our children's safety (translation) the noise bothers me. ex) This forest is full of endangered owls (translation) I don't want my neighbor to develop his land and spoil my view
I am a member of a gun club here in East Tennessee, and I would have to say as far as safety, gun clubs are one of the safest as you can get. I used to go to the public national park shooting range, and I can not tell you how many times I have left because people were being idiots firing in all directions and just being quite stupid. I've been a paying member of the club for a few years now, and not once have I left due to safety reasons, and if anyone becomes unsafe with their weapons, their membership is revoked (one strike policy) and their keys to the club are taken away. Now, if you complain about the noise, it's no one elses fault but yours if you move there. Like a previous poster said, it's about as stupid as moving next to an airport and complaining about the noise.
