One Border Patrol agent signals his frustration that the Obama administration is letting in known gang members with this influx of highly skilled, high IQ ladies and gentlemen on the Southern Border:

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jun/14/border-agents-lament-mexican-gang-members-entering/

Do you think we should be admitting these nice, articulate gang members.......we do need more immigrants right? And we're all the descendants of immigrants right? So what makes us any different than these misunderstood gang members?:blankstare:

I think this Border Patrol agent is just a xenophobic racist......probably part of that dying out old White man group.........

Meanwhile, the majority of immigrants are not criminals (legal or not) and the violent crime rate in the United States has fallen significantly over the past 2 decades despite a massive increase in illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration is illegal and always a crime. There are many other factors that contribute to crime rates. How do you justify equating increased illegal immigration with lower crime rates? My life has been greatly affected by illegals and the crimes they have committed. I've lost 3 friends to illegals DUIing. I had to start yelling at hospital staff in the ER to get past the illegals with colds and flus when my son had meningitis and 106 degree temperature. He spent 9 days in the hospital and is in the military now, 20 years later. My dad retired with nothing but social security because his company couldn't compete with people hiring illegals to keep construction costs down. We used to screen them for diseases and take every precaution to ensure that they could support themselves and assimilate into our culture. That's out the window now.

These kids are bringing diseases and the expectation of medical care and welfare. How we handle them will determine how many more will decide to follow. I hope you guys like tuberculosis.

Strawman. I did not saw illegal immigration causes lower crime rates. I said illegal immigration does not cause higher crime rates. The two statements are very different.

Anecdotal evidence fallacy. Furthermore, you have no way of knowing the people in the ER were here illegally. My guess is you saw brown people and assumed they were illegal immigrants. That is incredibly racist and offensive. In reality, immigrants are actually less likely to commit crime than native-born Americans. So your assertions are unfounded.

For most of our history we had open borders and there was no such thing as an illegal immigrant. As for screening for diseases--if there were more options for legal immigration, that would be a complete non-issue.

Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for welfare or medicaid. As to these children, do you know what helps spread tuberculosis? Densely populated processing centers. Another reason why immigrants are being moved to centers that have more room.

Your arguments are rife with fallacies, stereotypes, and xenophobia--and not much more.

Coming here illegally is a crime. Every one of them are criminals. You may have another definition crime, but breaking the law is a crime in America. Immigration has always been controlled and immigrants have always been screened for diseases. If they want to get in line behind the LEGAL immigrants who are doing it right, they are welcome. Until then, they can fix the hellhole they are coming from and quit exporting their problems to America.

When you go to an ER in America and you are the only people able to speak English, assuming they are not American is a pretty safe guess. I also learned that only certain hospitals take charity cases.(illegals) I happened to show up at the wrong ER for Travis County, TX. The triage person made arrangements for us to take my son to another hospital. They were waiting for us and took excellent care of my son there. You can cry racism as much as you want, but I'm no more racist than anybody. I tend to judge people by the content of their character. People who illegally come into our country and milk our justice, education, and welfare systems haven't earned my respect. Neither do those who will volunteer my tax dollars to their care.

Try going to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. (Where Kennedy died) 70% of the children born there are born to illegal immigrants. We pay for it.

    http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2014/07/24/perry-illegals-committed-3k-murders-years/

"There have been, over the course of the last five years . . . over 203,000 individuals who have come into Texas illegally, who have been booked into our county jails. Those individuals have been accounted for over 3,000 homicides and over 8,000 sexual assaults."

Do you want to rethink your position?

We never had "open borders". Illegal immigrant has been around since before the founding of the US.

    Yes they are. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...-may-lose-of-some-medicare-benefits/?page=all

Your source is a quote from Rick Perry that is a proven lie.

Meanwhile, back in reality, research has concluded that immigrants commit less crimes than native-born Americans.

Your article only mentions LEGAL immigrants. You do realize 100% of ILLEGAL immigrants are committing a crime just being here, don't you?

So much for that ridiculous claim.

    No, it includes all immigrants.

False. 40% of illegal immigrants in this country are here as a result of overstaying their visa, which is a civil offense not a criminal offense. Civil offenses are not crimes.

The fact remains your Rick Perry quote was a proven lie, and the rest of your response is false.

No, Rick Perry was lying. His quote contained BS information. Are you foolish enough to believe everything politicians say as fact? I already gave you the source. Did you even click on my link? Here it is again.

Your source said that it was inconclusive because Perry was citing arrests and not convictions. They claimed he was lying, while he may only be guilty of jumping the gun a little bit while the criminals await trial.

It doesn't matter. We see it first hand in our hospitals, schools, and police stations and it is only getting worse.

Violent transnational gangs 'recruiting unaccompanied minors at Border Security facilities':

Members of some of the United States' most notorious street gangs have infiltrated shelters housing illegal immigrant minors from Central America and are recruiting them, say Homeland Security sources.

An estimated 57,000 minors from Central America have flooded across the border from Mexico to the U.S. in recent months, and gang leaders are reportedly filling their ranks from among them.

Transnational gangs such as the Mara Salvatruca, also known as MS-13, and the 18th Street gang are using established juvenile members from Central America to cross the border and recruit other children to the cartels, say sources.
