There's so much misogyny in Australia that Australia elected a female prime minister. I bet there's so much misogyny in the United States that Hillary Clinton will be elected the next president.
There is no doubt that women can issue commands, make wise decisions, fight, do the policy, carry heavy bags and do hard jobs. But I wish them to have the right to stay a fragile and loving beauty in the hands of loving and responsible clever and powerful man... But if women like they can turn into powerful, clever and responsible and even loving a fragile man who thinks that he is a beauty. Let it be their choice!

I read parts of the speech and it really was disgusting. I'm afraid if Clinton is elected she too will be subject to the misogynist scum crawling out of the bottom of the pond. Even Michelle Obama has a whole thread dedicated to whining about her clothes as if that's really an important issue... the former Speaker of the House Pelosi being criticized for her looks and , of course, called the B word and worse. Idiots STILL ask women in politics how they handle work and their home life ...something NO male politician is ever asked. I'm afraid sheer stupidity is impossible to cure and scared little ignorant people whose only emotion is hate will always be with us. It's a credit to these women who forge ahead and focus on what's important which isn't the sleazy misogynists.
The last campaign that Clinton ran I was shocked at the rampant sexism directed at her. Relentless sexism straight from the gutter. We have a way to go. Michelle Obama bashing has toned down on the forum, it used to border on obscenity what used to go on here concerning Michelle Obama. Yes, a credit to these women who forge ahead... and cut through the ignorant fools and the sexism. A voice in the wilderness bleats 'affirmative action' for why they can't get a job. And meanwhile, the likes of people like Clinton and Gillard push against so much sexist vitriol to get the job done. Easy to see where the genuine strength and character is.
One of the silliest things that Clinton was criticized for was her clothes. Sexism is so ingrained and insidious that even allegedly intelligent people ridiculed her pantsuits....ignoring the fact that all her male counterparts in Congress ALL wore PANTSUITS...of course they're called "suits" when men wear them but they ARE suits with pants and no one ever ridiculed THEM . It's a subtle way to let women know that they're not acceptable unless they dress like news anchors and hookers in short skin tight dresses and stiletto heels.

I guess we can be sure that when intelligent, self-assured women enter the stage, that some form of sexism gets thrown at them. All their hard work and study and dedication / commitment gets quickly passed over for a mindless-opportunity to comment on shoes or bum or whatever. Here in Sydney I remember two news presenters who co-presented. A male and female, they both had greying hair but only the female was asked by management to dye her hair. She declined, God bless her. Whether they wear suits or dresses or skirts... the same types will go at them. I agree sexism is ingrained and insiduous. Previous male prime ministers here had particular physical features / attrbutes that no one made fun of or devoted entire articles to their 'physical features'. A mark of respect? Yet when we had our first female prime minister the purely 'personal' insults were staggering. Her ears, her hair, her figure, and on. It's really grubby, this sexism.

Okay this part was a little harsh - still my point stands - some wackos on the left ironically generalize women as a "collective" and view them as some 'fascinating exotic creatures' that need protection from those "big bad misogynists" - rather than individuals or peers And this isn't flattering to women - because it's the same thing as outright sexism - generalizing them and patronizing them. When left wing wack just because "they're women" it's no different - it's still treating them as "different" just because of what's between their legs, and no real woman (other than a narcissist) wants that. If you go on a date with a woman - the last thing a woman wants is some guy sitting their wide-eyed and fawning over them just because "they're a woman" - that's a little creepy
I find it flattering when women compliment my looks - anyone who wouldn't is too uptight, or just jealous because they rarely get compliments. Not to mention complimenting looks isn't mutually exclusive to valuing hard work Grey hair's less flattering on a woman than it is on a man. Likewise if a male reporter showed up wearing lipstick - but the woman wouldn't - so please quit whining. Sexual desire isn't "sexist". Men are more hard-wired toward physical attraction than women are - if a woman takes care of her body the she should be flattered that a man notices - the only one's who wouldn't be are the ones who are overweight and out of shape and just envious. And whining's not going to change anything - it's just a way to do nothing and pretend you're accomplishing something As mentioned above sexual attraction in men is based stronger off of the physical than it is in women, therefore if a person wants to be an ass, they're more likely to insult her looks Just as men are more likely to be judged on "masculinity" (ex. telling him he has "a small dick" usually a more effective insult than telling him 'he's ugly') - this is really just a big "emo fest" with no substance. It's part of nature, if it bothers you that much you're more than free to have a sex change. (And if I was a woman who looked anything like Andrea Dworkin I probably would since it'd pretty much be my only shot at getting laid, lol)
This post belongs in the thread "how to make the world a better place" I vote for laws that limit the length of skirts. Skirts that are not short enough should be illegal and fishnets and stiletto heels should be mandatory 6 days a week. The 7th day of course is a day of rest and women would be allowed to lounge around in sweats and a T-Shirt (after making her man breakfast in bed of course)

You know I have NO IDEA why some men get all scared and cranky about women expressing their rights. This school is known for it's highly Feminist Students and Teachers and I would order myself a Extra-Dry Vodka Martini and PURPOSELY ask the Bartender who was also a Female to change the channel from PBS to ESPN or another channel to watch whatever GAME was on. This request was BY DESIGN and as I would have already generously tipped and flirted with the Female Bartender she would GLADLY change the channel for me. Now this bar is the place where this College's Female Professors and Senior Students would come to debate Women's Rights and Political Science specific to women and etc. They would notice the TV channel being changed and INSTANTLY put me RIGHT IN THEIR CROSS HAIRS....which was my plan. Now...I am a large man and I am extremely fit and I have been told I have Movie Star looks....but as far as these women were concerned I was a NEANDERTHAL watching...Ohhh...GOD FORBID if their was a BRUINS HOCKEY GAME ON!! LOL!!!! So....I would SAY NOTHING....but these women just COULD NOT STAND the fact I was in their SMALL POND making waves so EVENTUALLY some of them would PURPOSELY make conversation in an attempt to demonstrate just how much of a Neanderthal I was to the rest of the girls. When such a thing happened.....well...let's just say it did NOT go the way they intended as I hold Multiple Degrees and I was for a time an Assistant Professor at another World Renown Massachusetts based Higher Learning Institute. So...even though they came at me aggressively and rude....I remained in conversation PLEASANT and RESPECTFUL....and the MORE any one of them attempted to get me angry....the MORE PLEASANT I WOULD BECOME. Eventually I would tell them...AND THIS WAS AND IS THE TRUTH....how AMAZING I thought women are as far as their ability to give birth and the fact the Physiologically Women are pound for pound stronger than Men as well as women can withstand a greater amount of pain then Men and then I would talk about my AMAZING Mother who also holds multiple degrees and some of the incredible things she has done....AND YOU KNOW WHAT??????? What was 30 minutes before that a entire BAR full of Militant Feminists had just TRANSFORMED into my own PRIVATE HAREM!! LOL!!! They bought me drinks....they shared their food....they asked me about my Mom....they touched my hair....basically THEY COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS NEANDERTHAL!!! LOL!!! But the REASON why they were like this to me is they KNEW....I really felt about women what I was saying. Hey....I call em like I see em! LOL!!! Seriously though....what kind of a Man feels threatened by a Woman???? I will tell you what kind kind of a Man....a...man...small m. Such Women as I described are just DYING to meet a MAN...BIG M....as they have for too long been dealing with men...small m....and when they actually encounter a MAN...BIG M....they just...MELT!!! LOL!!! Guy's...it is SO EASY!!!
