Interesting how Iranian history begins in 1979 in this video. He did not threaten to "wipe Israel off the map", and if he said that there will be a retaliation if USrael attacks Iran, then this is not a threat or an aggression, but a legitimate reaction to an aggression.

Because unlike the other fights we are in Iran can and will force us into this being a real war. They can hurt us and have the military doctrine to make this a huge mess.

Why do people think we can attack a nation like Iran and not have to invade in force, occupy the nation with a very large army, not have POW camps this includes for uniformed or papered insurgents Iran approves of and this will not extend beyond Iran?

This means a real war and this means people will die in our forces we could even lose an aircraft carrier as they use it over lose it when early in the conflict that would be a devestating blow.

All in all, Iran's open and obvious hostility to Israel, and their concealed but obvious development of nuclear weapons, DO constitute a threat to Israel (et al)
