Either Bill O'Reilly is really greedy or his viewers are really dumb. First of all, Obama is not the one that raises taxes, Congress does, but of course, many of his viewers are not aware of that fact. He is appealing for sympathy at the same time hoping that his plea will cause viewers to hate Obama even more. The thing is, that if he were to have his taxes raised even to 50% - poor Bill will only make $6M a year as opposed to the $10M he already makes as the most overpaid comic on TV. O'Reilly goes on to claim that the rich already pay 35% on their income tax and Obama wants to add 15% (capital gains). But, do they really? Would they pack it in? What about when Reagan raised taxes, or Eisenhower? Boohoo! My heart goes out to him - but, I suspect he is just a big liar, but just in case he does, here's my advice to him. O'Reilly is too dumb to understand the tax system and is just throwing out the current Rightwing Noise Machine meme that the rich don't pay lower rates. They do. A larger portion of the top 1%'s income comes from capital gains, which get a special low rate, which makes no sense as applied to the top 1% since they can't do anything else with their vast fortunes but invest it. Giving cap gains treatment to the superwealthy makes zero sense and doesn't increase investment. It does make sense for the bottom 90%, as an incentive to invest.

How could anyone consider O'Reilly greedy? He stated that he already pays 35-40% in income taxes. How much more do you want? What makes you feel that the government has a right to anymore of his money? He has obviously earned it and works hard for his large income, but that doesn't mean that anyone else has any right to take anymore than he already pays. Obama is going around stating that the millionaires don't pay their "fair share" or pay less than the middle class and that's all BULL(*)(*)(*)(*)!!! Another ignorant assumption. The reason O'Reilly is being considered greedy is because he is whining that his pay will go from $10M to $6M - if you can't figure it out, that is a personal problem. Nobody is putting millionaires or billionaires in a negative light - O'Reilly doesn't represent all of them. Many of these billionaires/millionaires are Democrats or as you call them Libs - and many are not complaining I think it is the Republicans in Congress that are afraid they won't be getting their "campaign check" from the ones that are Republican, if they raise the taxes on them. So, they have their party members fooled into thinking that the world is going to end if the rich get a tax hike, and based on the responses from the Reps/cons, it seems to be working.
