Let us not forget people were being injured before the deaths so the president was set... Scumbag and his mate simply ignored the warnings during the undertaking.
I think this thread demonstrates there is no bottom to the depths these people will sink... What gets me is that people who gain no power at all still support this scumbag in blind faith...

    I totally agree.

However, the excuse generally used by the blind faith is that they would not be considered the bosses. So let us clear that point up now, the legislation in regards to WH&S (*which is the new name of the legislation) a person conducting a business or undertaking has a duty or obligation under the Act to insure safety. The government may not have been the business but they are members of the undertaking and by this legislation can be held personally accountable.

So why should they get a free pass??? I think the actions of these scumbags demonstrate exactly what type of people they really are. I find it strange that even the blind will dive to the same depths to defend them...

I`d like to add one more question. Why aren`t the ALP lemmings calling for Garrett & Killer Kev to be held accountable for the deaths of their brothers?

They show contempt for memory of the victims of Rudd & Garrett`s incompetence / lack of care, when they can`t even find the common decency to discuss the issue honestly.

Putting politics aside, its simply horrific, that four young innocent people died doing their work, and these two cretins; Garrett & Rudd in charge of the projects and work are going to get a free walk to “Mayfair” without be held accountable or responsible.

Surely our countries social morals and ethics have not degrade to this low level that politicians are now excused from causing deaths?

    Shame Australia Shame!!

Oh come on. The rules had been in place for years, it's the businesses that didn't abide by them or were negligent in their obligation to their employees. Labor can really on be blamed for not anticipating that some businesses would be dodgy and somehow (i've not heard any suggestions as to how) stretch out the scheme with a slow and gradual introduction of rebates. Correct me if i'm wrong, but NO ONE has called for more regulation because it's not necessary.

You are being completely partisan/one-eyed about this issue.

As an analogy, would you argue that the mining minister is responsible for, say, injecting money into the mining industry which then employed someone unqualified to work in a mine and who was subsequently killed or hurt?

That is a fair question, but its missing some important facts.

The bungled home insulation scheme was a Government program; not just something the Government was injecting some quick cash into.

Being a Government initiated program, all the government ministers should be held accountable and responsible for every aspect of the program, from its inception to its completion.

If I initiated a program of this magnitude in the private sector; as the creator of this program, I would be held legally responsible and accountable for every aspect.

Therefore, why is the Government and its ministers not held to the same legal accountability and responsibility as a private sector business?

The coalition is now asking Rudd to release all the letters that were written to him advocating the dangers of a program he went ahead with.

Lets hope Rudd does the correct moral and ethical thing by releasing the letters to prove or disprove he received warnings, but I would not like to be hanging by the neck waiting for Rudd to release that damaging information.

Four young Australians died under this disasterous program, and these parasites are trying to cover their own arses.

Really? Perhaps you could point to the relevant regulation you proclaim is in place? No... Don't want too? As the insulation industry is largely unregulated I think you might have trouble finding that one.

As a government program it is an undertaking of the government... THUS by ALP legislation the Government can be held accountable. Rudd and Gillard paid specific attention to detail on this very point. but now the shoe is on the other foot, you want to excuse this scumbag.

You are wrong... From the concept everybody demanded more regulation. The government should have been very much aware of who was attaching themselves to the scheme and should have heeded the warnings provided before these deaths. After several people were injured and houses burnt... Don't you think that is a serious issue... Oh that is right you simply want to excuse your favourite scumbag. Had this been the Howard government you would be calling him out for war crimes and lying to the public for supporting the US war in Iraq... Oh that is right they are the Coalition and do not deserve any consideration...oh sorry, I forgot you already do. Hypocrisy? You bet your arse.

Actually that would be you... Legislation by the ALP states they are accountable, you simply want to excuse the scumbag.

The difference is that the mining industry is not an undertaking by the government. TO YOUR ANALOGY, in the insulation scheme the Government would be the equivalent of the "mining industry which then employed someone unqualified to work in a mine and who was subsequently killed or hurt" So the stupidity of proclaiming this as a defence of the Government stands supreme. The people who injected the money is the tax payer...

Simply trying to excuse your scumbag mate... How disgusting.

The government provides 'incentives' to the mining industry and regulates it. The only difference really is that the insulation subsidy was new, not pre-existing. But the regulations were pre-existing.

OK. Lets say the CEO of a company tells his floor manager to get an old product out the door as quickly as possible, and funds him a little extra to help make this possible. That floor manager then hires an unqualified forklift operator who drops something on his head. The CEO did not change the rules by which the floor manager had to operate, he merely gave some extra cash to make it happen. The choices the floor manager made here his/her own.

    You're being totally ridiculous.

ps. Rudd is not my 'mate'. Grow up and be objective.

There were regulations, that's why the australian insulation council head stated the problems surrounding the governments program were because "installers" simply didn't follow the rules! Just a small group of labor hating conservatives trying subtle tricks to convince people of their religion!

You are completely wrong. No one is calling for more regulation. Just because a product passes Australian Standards, dosen`t automatically make it appropriate for every application. It`s the boss`s job to formulate a safe work method . This is happening every day, all around Australia. It`s only dangerous when the bosses are idiots like Rudd & Garrett.

So what are those regulations? Point to them... Come on provide something of substance for a change.

No, this is entirely the excuse of the ignorant. "they didn't follow regulations" Fact is there is very few regulations in this industry.

As you continue to look at this as party politics I assume you simply wish to free pass individuals due to ALP affiliation. Had it been anybody else you would be baying for blood. Hypocrisy at its best.

Because this actually has nothing to do with party politics and more of the individual scumbags involved I would assume your ignorance on the very subject is paramount to your bigotry.

Garry, do us a favour and stop pretending you're not playing party politics....seriously dude! Your carry on is "slightly" over the top! Stop being silly with the over exaggeration of Rudd and his ultimate responsibility for the unfortunate deaths! It's actually teetering on weird! Your knight in shining armour hasn't got anything to lose, he has already lost whatever credibility he started out with but you have stooped to another level of bewilderment!

This does not in any way suggest that the government was responsible! What it does show is your desperation! Ruddy is under your skin, due to his ability to turn your world on its head! The election isn't clear cut anymore and your beloved conservatives obviously havent got a free pass after all!

So you are unable to support your claim of regulations (should anybody be surprised) As to party politicking, that is your game. You like to demonstrate your own bigotry at every opportunity and thus need to contrive something to your understanding. This has nothing to do with parties and all to do with the scumbag who could not even consider remembering the names of four people who died at the hands of his program. The fact this scumbag could not even apologise for their deaths from a program he was in charge.

Who would you suggest it my knight in shining armour? Oh, that is right, you still consider Australian politics is aligned with the US as your signature demonstrates.

No the entire demonstration of your scumbag emperor and your support shows that drone quality. If it is ALP they can do no wrong, does not matter what it is.

Again, this has nothing to do with party politics, but your further demonstration of bigotry has all to show your ignorance over matters.

If you consider that others in the ALP are equally to blame for this scumbags actions tell us. But while it is pure and simply the actions of one man that is in question, it is bigotry to stereo type the party to this scumbags action.

I would have thought it took far more people acting in like manner to present the actions of a group than one person. Apparently your bigotry has no bounds of ends. No, it is not party politics and has never been presented as such until you proclaim it as such. Again this simply demonstrates bigotry has all to show your ignorance over matters. I give the due credit to those who earn it. You, however, get the credit earned due to your own bigotry.

Don't presume to speak for all about you as it will be you who have egg on your face... :roflol:

There are your key words,"never been presented as such"! Disguise is a simple way to explain it!

As I've stated before, your extraordinary carry on drew me to investigate and ruminate on the particular issue a little bit more than I suppose I had before and the more I ruminate and investigate the more I find that Rudd is "not"responsible for the unfortunate deaths! It is another mainstream media beat up that you're happy to run with! This is where I feel you're being disengenuous on the whole issue and in fact many issues that are discussed!

TV, it`s been explained enough times. If you can`t grasp the simple facts of administrative responsibility, by now, your opinion is worthless in the real world.

That is correct I have never presented this as such and in fact pointedly stated as demonstration of the man. It is you who assume different with bigoted eyes you can see it no other way.
Disingenuous? That again would be you. You assume you are the judge of this entire issue. You fail to understand this as a direct demonstration of the type of scumbag this man is. BUT NO, You investigated (Lord if anybody knows how you managed that one, seeing as you are unable to understand the simplest of concepts) Then proclaim it to be a mainstream media beat up. Disingenuous? You bet you are.

So explain why this scumbag is not responsible for the deaths of a program the government undertook for the purpose of a failed attempt to boost the economy?

So explain or just point to the mainstream media who is supposedly leading me over this... Bet you cannot.

Disingenuous? Yes definitely you. In fact it is arrogance and ignorance that fuels your ruminating and total lack of investigation would show the stupid lie you are trying to portray with your bigoted opinion... :roflol:

Garry, you cannot escape the fact that installers were responsible for the deaths! They failed to abide by the rules......that's as simple as it is, as stated by the head the insulation council! Rudd gave em a boost to the industry and they got greedy and overlooked simple processes such as training! Electrical companies know the dangers associated with working in ceilings, which makes it utterly irresponsible to not provide appropriate training! A particular electrical company who employed one of the deceased installers has been successfully held responsible for lack of workplace training! Bigoted.....look at your crazy over exaggerated attack on Rudd! What do you call this lol!
