I firmly believe its a nation wide test, but it has absolutely nothing to do with protecting us at all...most likely its setting up so those who are still 'sleeping' will automatically report to the nearest FEMA concentration camp when they hear the message broadcast...

Those of us who are 'awake' however will know when its time to head for the hills with our ammo. ;)

Oh, and its 'chemtrails' not contrails..and yes, they are real.

"Conspiracy theorist!" = "I don't want to debate your claim on the basis of facts and logic, so I'm just going to dismiss it with a lame, mindless smear term."

There is no difference between a system that can reach any area of the country at one time and one that can reach every area of the country at the same time.

[IMG] well , 4Horsemen the EBS and these tests now ran by FEMA have been around a long time ,,, and it seems to me to be a good thing ... information is always a sought for item in a crisis , be it another 9-11 attempt or a Hurricane ,,, and it goes out to everyone , TV & Radio ...the police & authorities have their own communnications that the general public cannot access ,,, so it's a good thing , in my opinion... [IMG]

what about it didn't feel right to you ? [IMG]

me personally , I'm more concerned about potential abuses of the 'Patriot Act' than I am about FEMA conducting EBS tests ...

If you ever worked with FEMA you wouldn't even think this. 10 regions work independently from each other, total lack of leadership, lack of real disaster knowledge, Operations and Plans officer knowledge is based on self learning and the good ole boy / girl system is fully evoked. Even their credentialing system is based on hat the average FEMA person knew, not what they should know. It was developed within, not an outside independent source. I could go on and on about their operational and planning issues, least alone their lack of leadership. You didn't really expect them to succeed with a national alert, too funny. Even their annual major exercises are actually run by NORTHCOM, a four star command with USA responsibility. Their HSEEP exercise program is an old US Army program which hasn't been used by the Army in over 50 years. The FEMA National Simulation Center, about 6-years old has zero idea on how to develop and execute exercises, let alone have the capability to conduct simulation supported exercises. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!

I am somewhere between somewhat trusting FEMA and somewhat distrusting FEMA. Basically I am not a fan of '1984' like operations and agencies.

a viral attack from some entity is about the only thing I could think of, where they want everyone to remain in their homes to keep the virus from spreading

but testing the system nationwide also tests the system for local areas at the same time, I now my tivo know stops playing recorded video and shows the alert tests now when they happen (my Ruko doesn't do this yet)
