Mostly because Zionist have lied about the intention of the Balfour Declaration and the Mandate, National Home does not mean state, you can protest it should not be discussed, throw insults, but you cannot change recorded documents, tough that for Zionists, so they say it is irrelevant etc! Tell me why do you spend so much time telling others what they can and cannot discuss, what frightens you so much about debate?

You are saying that I said that the words "Jewish state" are mentioned in the Madnate, while I never said that. I said that a national home is a state, and to reifnorce it you can re-read post #669.

Yerzhera apporached you, he want to speak with you.
The Mandate was indeed finished, while the document of the Madnate has kept it's validity thanks to Article 80 of the UN Charter.

You have not proved anywhere that the British intention was for a Jewish State not a Jewish Homeland, you cannot because the British were deliberately ambiguous in the way the Mandate was drafted. All the pages of deflection are just that, deflection. What happened after the Mandate was over is a different matter entirely, but you think with bluster and insults you can hide that the Mandate Document did not promise a Jewish State.

There is no outrage for the defenders of an oppressed people who give their money and their lives to defend the rights of Palestinian victims of Israel's war crimes. Where is the outrage at the billions of dollars given Israel so that the IDF can use attack helicopters and jet fighters to destroy schools and hospitals in Gaza? When it comes to outrage over the war in the Middle East, the world's anger is directed at the US-Israel axis with its blatant violations of the Geneva Accords and many war crimes. Right wing Americans dwell in a bubble of AIPAC propaganda.

A National Home can be a State that does not mean a National Home is a State, you are simply wrong.

No, the only reason you support Israel is because of Stephen Spielberg.

    Nothing about the Mandate here!
    Or here!

Oh the Partition plan, but sadly nothing about the Mandate or Covenant!
Sounds impressive, what does he have to say about the Mandate or Covenant?
Oh dear, nothing about the Mandate or Covenant
Throw in the Nazi's always helps to remind people, make an association between me and Neo-Nazis a bit of character assassination goes a long way! However nothing about the Mandate or Covenant!

Here we go this document will prove the Mandate Document promised a Jewish State.............oh wait it does not!
And there we are, an entire page looks impressive but does not mention the Mandate Document or the Covenant once.

    Classy deflection is still deflection!

Yet you only mentioned the Balfour Declaration.

Not equal treatment though. The PA cannot impose settlements of Palestinians in Israel. While Israel can impose settlements in the West Bank.
You are saying thus that the PA has the right to impose settlements in Israel.

Are you saying that Jews and Arabs have equal rights in western Palestine?

Why would arabs agree to that?

Not exclusively and not over Palestinians. Read the white paper.

No only Baldour Decleration. I talked about Article 80 of the UN Charter, the document of the Madnate, the treaty of Severs etc. Please re-read my previous pots and you will see for yourself.

Area C, where there are the settlements, is under Israeli control and not the PA control. Or maybe are you saying that Area C is uner full Arab control?

I'm saying that the Arabs in Israel have rights, like the Jews have rights in Israe.

Ask Faizal, that was what he agreed about with Weizmann

The White Paper is the nterpetaion of Balfour Decleration, and not for the document ofhe Madnate. The document of the Mandate states clear that th Jews have political rights inn form of the re-establishment of national home, while the Arabs can enjy civil and religous rights.

I absolutely love what you wrote here, especially what I highlighted in bold, and all of your points throughout your reply to me is nothing less than sheer brilliance....really. (job well done)

Let me say that I admire you for this, and I applaud your bravery here as you keenly noted how the mere mention of the word "Israel" evokes a "feign rage" and the ridiculous claims that one must be anti-Semitic for merely putting the words "Israel" & "Violence" in the same sentence.

The double standard & hypocrisy amazes me, because when any other group of people are "truly" slammed or vilified unjustifiably with no proof or justification - they don't get to make these same bogus claims of discrimination or prejudice against them. (even though that's "exactly" what it is 99.9% of the time)

Truer words have never been spoken, and it's also fascinating how none of these people ever answer you regarding how they would feel about this subject if it were their family or loved ones living in these government controlled ghettos & prisons that Israel has done such a wonderful job of orchestrating & policing.

I can't get my head around people that see images of body parts scattered everywhere (including children) on one side of a wall, and on the other side of that same wall, see people casually going shopping, going to beaches, or tanning on their rooftops - while they make the claim that all of this is done in the name of self defense. (and we won't even go into those lovely folks that are barbecuing on their rooftops while their drinking beer & cheering as rockets are blowing Palestinians to bits)

Forty year-old, hand made rockets & bombs that either don't go off, or lack the power to penetrate a "steel dome" compared to US made scud missiles that "never" miss their intended target of apartments filled with people or schools or hospitals is akin to an Elephant saying it needed to defend itself against an ant.

People over here lap that idiocy up, shake their fists at their TV screens, and say stupid things like "serves em right" or "Israel has a right to defend herself"

Israel "does" have a right to defend herself..............from "real" enemies & "real" threats, not kids throwing rocks at Israeli Soldiers over a wall.

The lop-sided ness of it all keeps me in a perpetual state of amazement every time I see these skirmishes between these people, and I'm always left feeling that everybody has lost a bit more of it's humanity. People have become so desensitized to this issue that sadly by now they give it as much attention as they do leaves falling.

I'm curious as to how many people have the courage to acknowledge all of this when you bring it to the surface, or how many try to explain it away.

Being completely honest with you, I wasn't aware of any of this, but I read the article attached to the link, and I saved it in my favorites to read some more later. I'm still blown away how a lot of this stuff hasn't surfaced more, but then to your point - when you have lots of time, money, and resources, I guess you could bury anything.

All of this was very informative, and a real eye opener for me, thanks for posting all of it.

My bottom line is the same one I had with my previous post. Palestinians have been smeared, and have no real voice advocating for them. They are seen in a very negative light thanks to some of the things you pointed out here.

Please keep pointing these things out, as more & more people need to be made aware of these things.

Funny thing about underdogs my friend, the universe always has a way of course-correcting things, and I'm "confident" that one day the debt will be squared.

Poor "Dutch" keeps getting caught in one "deliberate Falsehood" after another

    1. If you really: "....enjoy skipping over your long, winding, hate filled posts",....

    Then:

....... how is it possible for you to highlight the Facts contained in them?

Yes, the true cost of Israel to the U.S. has been $ Trillions [1] just as the State of Israel has deployed an army of parasitic "Dual Citizen" / "Israel First, Zionist Shills to ensure that American blood, monetary Aid & resources keeps coming to perpetuate the decades old, Zionist Ethnic Cleansing [2].

For whom do you think America soaked Iraqi soil with the blood of loyal Americans if not your beloved Zionist State:

“QUIETLY LOBBYING CONGRESS TO APPROVE THE USE OF FORCE IN IRAQ WAS ONE OF AIPAC’S SUCCESSES OVER THE PAST YEAR.” AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr; N.Y. SUN JAN. ’03

The same traitorous, American infestation of War mongering Zionist parasites who were the primary driving force behind the Fatally Flawed US War on Iraq are the same lowly & craven individuals who did all that they could to drive the US to War with Iran when neither country has ever posed a threat to the US.

The same State to which you are most loyal now demands additional US $ Billions over the usual yearly $ Billions because the US Government participated in the Nuclear Deal with Iran

Meanwhile, loyal Americans would rather use those $ Billions / $Trillions to help Americans [3] in need & especially the mangled, burned, traumatized & dismembered US Veterans who fought for AIPAC's war.

Apparently, you would prefer that America's $ Trillions go to Zionist genocide, Wars for Israel & illegal Settlement sprawl.

Since you "....enjoy skipping over your long, winding, hate filled posts", I don't expect a response from you but felt compelled to express my preference for America's $ Trillions to be spent more constructively than continuing to bankroll Israeli betrayal, Ethnic cleansing & relentless Expansionism

EXCERPT “ While it is commonly reported that Israel officially receives some $3 billion every year in the form of economic aid from the U.S. government, this figure is just the tip of the iceberg.

There are many billions of dollars more in hidden costs and economic losses lurking beneath the surface. A recently published economic analysis has concluded that U.S. support for the state of Israel has cost American taxpayers nearly $3 trillion ($3 million millions) in 2002 dollars.

“The Costs to American Taxpayers of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: $3 Trillion” is a summary of economic research done by Thomas R. Stauffer.

Earlier this month, far-right Knesset member Ayelet Shaked posted a bloodthirsty call for the extermination of the Palestinian people, "including its elderly women, its cities and its villages" (shades of '48 again), on her Facebook wall. Thank you RiaRaeb, that was this post http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=447029&page=72&p=1066051925#post1066051925

I can now take this further and deal more with other issues which have been presented.

The actual reasons for the Balfour Declaration appear to have been that due to the antisemitism of the age all countries were trying to get the support of Jews - the Germans were hoping to win access to the Holy Land and offer the same possibility to Jews. The Brits however got there before them and not only that, according to Lilienthal they then dropped leaflets on Germany and it's allies telling them about the Balfour Declaration to affect them psychologically - the antisemetic belief of the time being that the Jews ruled the world so to get the Jews on your side was a hell of a helpful thing.

This fact that the British were wanting to get American Jews to pressure America into the war has been supported by released British Archives. I can further support this with a couple of quotations from the excellent book What Price Israel (written in 53)

Lloyd George, then PM and a strong supporter of Weizmann was quoted in the Palestine Royal Commission of 1937

What Price Israel p 19 with full references.

This then appears to have been the initial reason for the Balfour Declaration. To win the support of Jews worldwide and by this get the US into WW1 at a time when Germany might win.

When the archives were release JFJFP noted that the reason did appear to be old fashioned antisemitism on behalf of the British Government in believing that Jews had so much power in the world that their support could result in Britain winning WW1.

Here is a further quote from Churchill concerning the belief that the Balfour Declaration would win the support for Britain for Jews worldwide and result in the Allies winning WW1 speaking in the House of Commons on the Balfour Declaration in 1937.

Quoted with source in What Price Israel p19

That then would appear to be the motivation of the Balfour Declaration - simply the belief that the support of Jews in the US and beyond would get Britain the support it needed to ww1, which of course included bringing the US into the war.

Now regarding the drafting and intent of the Balfour Declaration. Weizmann was clearly a Zionist hoping for a State in Palestine but as I have already mentioned, with particular reference to American Jews of the time, they were not if favour of Jewish State. This was, as I mentioned in my previous post, a view also shared by most British Jews and these were the people with input into how the Declaration was drafted.

As well as wanting Palestine to be recognised as the national home of the Jewish people Weizmann wanted the Declaration to also say it was for the 'resettlement' of the country by Jews. This was not accepted. In it's stead the words were changed to 'His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a National Home for the Jewish people and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this'
quoted in What Price Israel p19

This change was created by protests from Edward Montagu, the Sec of State for India, who later 'accepted the rephrased Declaration merely as
    a 'military expedient'

    quote WPI p20

Here again we can see the acceptance of the Declaration as a need for Britain's war efforts. Montague was a British Jew who led British Jewish Organisations the Anglo-Jewish Association and the Board of Deputies.
    WPI p20

(I remember reading recently a Jew saying that the biggest critics of Zionism have always been Jews - both before and since it came into being and he was probably right. I am sorry cannot remember who but he was a British Jew.)

Weizmann wrote in his memoirs great disappointment at the changes from his intention of 'the national home to 'a national home in' Palestine.

The British hence very definitely intended for the Balfour Declaration to offer nothing more than a Jewish national home in Palestine.

Weizmann had also hoped that the phrase 'Jewish Race' would be used in the Declaration but this was rejected and instead changed to simply the Jewish people and the additional clause ' it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of the existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.

The additional clause, not asked for by Weizmann was to make it clear that this 'national home' was in no way meant to be some state taking over the rights of the people already living there or forcing Jews already happily settled to move.

Ahad Ha-am, a close friend of Weizmann believed that the final declaration of the Balfour Declaration was
    WPI p20

That is it then. The Balfour Declaration was issued in order it believed to receive worldwide help from Jews to win WW1 - something which both Churchill and Lloyd George claim was forthcoming. It was deliberately crafted to not offer a State. As Ahad Ha-am makes clear anyone who did not realise this had not properly studied it and Jewish leaders and writers ought to have made this clear to their people.

Of course they did not because they intended on taking this further but to pretend that the Balfour Declaration was any offer of a Jewish State is just plain wrong.

This is only Part 1 on this. I will later write Part 2 to cover other issues which have been raised in this thread.

Yes but in mentioning the white paper you've only mentioned it's passages about the Balfour Declaration and neglecting all the other stuff. Why would you do that?

No its Palestinian land. While west of that is Israeli land. Are you saying Palestinians through the pa can build a settlement anywhere they like in Israel?

Are you also saying that Arab Palestinians from the West Bank have the same rights of settlement also or is it just Israelis that get these rights?

Ah yes he agreed to give all Arab land west of the river to the Jewish people and leave nothing for the vast majority of humans in that area? Is that what you think he agreed to?

The White Paper is the British interpetation of the Balfour Declaration and the Mandate. Both are concerned with Palestines future and that's what the white paper was about. It makes perfect sense also. Your view is silly and baseless.

LOL only the Jews can get away with this sort of thing. There would be riots in the streets here in the west if it were any other group doing it.

Humanity is such a joke. Why people take each other seriously, I will never know.
