This is a very dangerous moment

    Yolande Knell

    Reporting from Jerusalem

It would be very difficult for Israeli forces not to intervene if anything happened during the truce.

If they were be able to trace, for example, the location of one of the most sought-after Hamas leaders, would they be able to resist holding back?

There’s many things that could go wrong here.

Likewise for Hamas fighters and the other armed factions that operate in the Gaza Strip, there are still Israeli ground forces present there.

This is really a very dangerous moment.

Everything has to stick for this whole plan to unfold in the way that it’s expected, and things really have to go well today so we can see this repeated for three further days.

    Meanwhile:

'Thousands of Gazans head north, in potential challenge to IDF’s campaign after truce'

'As Israel’s four-day truce with Hamas came into effect in Gaza on Friday morning, thousands of people who had fled to areas near Gaza’s border with Egypt were seeking to return to their villages with children and pets in their arms and their belongings loaded onto donkey carts or car roofs.

Overnight Thursday-Friday, Hamas urged Gazans to return to the north of the Strip, where the IDF has focused its ground offensive for the past three weeks.

Having dropped flyers warning Gazans against doing so, Israeli troops were reported to be using riot dispersal measures inside the Strip on Friday in order to prevent people from moving north and complicating Israel’s declared determination to resume its war to destroy Hamas at the end of the truce.

They forgot one thing: Start the process toward a political solution toward long-term peaceful coexistence. Oh, I know, it is unlikely because it's the last thing that Bibi and Hamas want.

Hamas and Palestine are only entertaining a truce because now, after their barbaric action, they are getting obliterated.

As soon as Israel backs off, they will start lobbing rockets back towards Israel. Then when Israel clamps down, they will cry victim.

    Same story over and over.

Curious if any of the released hostages say anything positive on how they were treated will be interpreted by some as suffering from "Stockholm syndrome"?

A statement from Schneider Children’s hospital, where four mothers and four child hostages were released, says that doctors had conducted a preliminary examination and said they were all in good physical condition.

A total of 13 Israeli hostages were freed Friday and transferred to three separate hospitals across Israel.'

Meanwhile Palestinians are being released back to Gaza. I guess there’s so much food and water there and such a low chance of dying in a combat zone that this makes sense to someone.

Thailand should have demanded their people back. Thailand could wipe out Hamas in a week

It's more than the animals Hamas deserve.

They deserve to not exist anymore.
