We knew this was coming down the pipework, but there were many people denying it. Well now it's official: free sex changes for poor people! Federal Judge Robert Chambers has ruled that Medicaid has to provide "gender-affirming" medical care, and that the state of West Virginia can no longer deny surgical or pharmacological treatments to "treat" gender dysphoria. (By "treat", of course, they mean gender transitions) https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2022/08...e-medicaid-ordered-pay-gender-affirming-care/ Why is any new law needed when there are activist judges? The judge wrote in his ruling that it would be "discriminatory" not to pay for treatment for transgenders. (Try understanding the logic to that one) Related older threads: Socialised Medicine: Will Americans be forced to pay for sex-change operations? US paying for sex change surgeries in military
related thread: Appeals court in California says transgender can sue Catholic hospital for not removing his uterus The court said that the hospital refusing to remove a transgender person's sexual organs was "discriminatory" against gender identity. Despite the fact Catholic hospitals have a strict policy in place not to remove any reproductive organs unless it is medically necessary; their religion does not support contraception. So even though the law does specifically say this, activist judges in the state court have applied this interpretation.
Gosh, democrats are scraping the dregs of the barrel to get how many more votes and in the process losing how many times more?
Yes, I think you are exactly right. The Biden Administration is doing wacky things in a desperate attempt to stir up enthusiasm and drive up his sagging popularity among the progressive Democrat voting base, so they might be more likely to turn out in the next election.
I see that we are moving away from moral restrictions in healthcare. And, that income and prosperity is no longer going to be a barrier between a person and the medical care that they want and desire. It's a careful step into a bigger world! Nah, just kidding! They aren't clever enough to think that way.
If you consider it "healthcare". (Hey, I did hear in Brazil women can get free taxpayer-funded butt-implants)
