Well the SS Donald is taking on more water daily. You now can add Arizona conservatives to the list of Republicans that want Trump gone. I wonder if Ben Carson is available?

"Washington (CNN)Former Republican Sen. Jeff Flake says a "sound defeat" of President Donald Trump in November's election would be better long term for the Republican Party, adding that he would be comfortable voting for a Democrat instead of his own party's standard bearer.

Flake, a longtime Trump critic who has before argued that the Republican Party should not support Trump in the 2020 election, was asked about the future of the GOP in an interview with The Washington Post.
"I don't know anyone who thinks that this is the future of the party. This is a demographic cul-de-sac we're in, if nothing else. Anger and resentment only go so far; you have to have a governing philosophy," the Arizona conservative said."

Yea well anything Jeff Flake has to say can go right down in to the toilet. One of the main platforms he ran on was no amnesty for illegals. He get elected and and then right away votes for amnesty. He chose not to run for reelection. He didn't even file. He isn't even in office and nor is he a conservative yet he is the face of the Arizona conservatives? Get out of here with that shi*

I would like to see Trump gone, but he is still the lesser of evils.

“If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it” — Senator Graham

    Seems fitting

I really disagree here, I immensely dislike Biden personally almost at the same level of trump — I am looking beyond that with both candidates though, trump is a threat to our institutions and he has done nothing but place people with the sole intention of them internally dismantling them.

We cannot advance without both strong public support for our institutions as well as them attempting to propel America ahead of other nations — both our allies as well as our enemies. trump has shaken this trust and this goal almost single handily.

Biden doesn’t think he is the smartest man in the room, he will hire advisors and cabinet members that are well versed and qualified in their fields (trumps only requirement seems to be that they were a donor and will not go against him) and he will listen to them.

On a personal level the “lessor of two evils” argument is valid, on a national level — it isn’t an option.

There are already signs the Republican Party is distancing itself from the administration and as internal polling shows the Senate more and more in jeopardy the distancing will be more obvious.

McConnell will throw Trump under the bus in a New York minute if he feels threatened.

Graham is a rino and is not to be trusted. I will endorse whatever Democrat runs against him.

It is much better for America to have the Democrats out in front of us then behind us waiting to stab us in the back.

Jeff Flake? Jeff Flake who has been a vocal and longtime critic of the President? Jeff Flake who isn't even in office anymore? Jeff Flake who babbles for CBS?

I'm shocked that he's b*tching about Trump again! Shocked!

When I first saw that Flake was trending on twitter today, I knew it was inevitable that some left leaning forum member would post about him, with a post aimed at conservatives. Now I wonder, what exactly did you expect the reaction to be? Did you expect that Flake had any stature within the party or with conservatives that they would say, "Hmm Flake is a solid conservative, so let's listen to what he says!"

It seems you understand the Right so little that you thought Flake would actually have some credibility. Tsk Tsk!

Flake is a RINO loser who retired before he could be beaten. Apparently he hasn't heard Trump's GOP support is the highest for a POTUS in a long time.

Flake has all the qualities of a leader except followers.

And we have already had this discussion — complete control by either party is never a good thing.
A Republican President has been a disaster the last several times we have tried it.

Democratic president with a split congress seem to be the best combo at the federal level.

Really, how is the lowest unemployment in 50 years a disaster? I'll take more of that.

Yeh, I am sure you would — It’s amazing what a trillion dollars in federal deficit spending per year in a “good economy” gets you.

How long do you believe that is sustainable?
Or let me guess, you don’t care about the debt as you won’t live to be responsible for it?

I guess when you are looking at a single metric instead of the complete picture it is easy to walk away as a completely uninformed voter. Shrug

I'm sorry? Was this post made 5 weeks ago??

It's sorta funny when a post made an hour ago already hasn't aged well....

On topic, Flake seemed like a reasonable guy, which is clearly why the wingers on here hate him, reasonable not being in their wheelhouse...

He's also correct, but I think he knows deep down the Republican party is going to have to do some time in the corner of the classroom before being accepted back in the fold...

    I'm interested in America.

And Biden and the democrats are bad for America.

This is Washington D.C. It’s a thriving and growing city and with it comes criminals. His name is Flake. His nose is crooked, he is a RINO, doesn’t wear a badge and never heard of Joe Friday or Dragnet
