If Trump did as you say he is doing, focusing on felons, few would complain and he’d actually have democratic backing. I see no problem what so ever.

But, Trump wants to deport all illegals and have local police help ice when the misdemeanor is all that’s involved. Unless they are a suspected felon with a federal warrant issued for their arrest, local police are not obligated to enforce federal misdemeanor civil crimes, no more then habitual speeding violations across state lines. Obama issued warrants for felony arrests and subsequent deportation and/ or criminal prosecution. . Let Trump do the same and there would be no whining about kids being separated or sanctuary cities etc.

The parents are detained till their hearing and the children cannot be kept in adult facilities. Too harsh, stay home. Trump should close our border to immigration till Congress addresses the problems in our immigration laws.
