I have never put anyone on 'ignore' before.

    That was until yesterday.

I agree with everything you've said in your post.

More violence in SF CA. Protesters arrested. More violence and arrests expected at 10pm tonight. Protesters are to be cleared from the park where they are encamped.

Obviously there is a problem in the Aboriginal community. Those stories that efjay posted are horrific, and shouldn't have happened. The problem needs to be fixed, although how I do not know. Whatever we are currently doing isn't working.

Thats the thing Mak, many out there stick their head in the sand while chanting the silly mantra " its all white mans fault".
All i have wanted people to see and to acknowledge is that ANY person that commits a crime is SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for that crime and to hark back to the blame it on the white man mantra is not really helping the abos case.

And I agree Mak and so do most Aboriginals. Thousands of good hard working, honest, non-drinking Aboriginals and thousands more intelligent caring Caucasian Australians are working on it constantly.

One thing I do know though, throwing petrol on a fire is not the way to put it out.

But its ok to sniff it and get high yeah?

They DONT need all these people working on it, they need to stand up and take responsibility for their actions and the abo community needs to take action themselves to stop it. A ban on drinking would be a great start, as would mandatory sentencing for violent crimes. The "victim" mentality that has been installed in the abo community needs to be drummed out if they are to ever become civilized. The dependency on welfare handouts to them needs to stop too.

We have had our souls cursed by those that went before us and treated these innocent souls so cruelly, there were days when Australians ran adds in US papers for people to come out and "Eradicate the Aboriginal Problem".

Hatred and racism is a disgusting cancer of the human spirit, it eats away at anything beautiful in this world.

I know that the problems faced by the Aboriginals is one of their own doing. My partner even says "It's 2011 folks, let's get on with it." It is not that easy though.

Once when I was a child I lived with my parents on a dairy farm. One day a stray dog came around the dairy and drank milk from our dogs bowl. Dad picked up the broom to shoo him away. He saw the broom and took off like a rocket.

He never returned for days, then slowly, gingerly he crept back. I this time just picked up the broom and he took off.

We came to figure that dog had been so abused it was an instinct in him to fear it.

Anyway a few weeks past and Dad gave in to my endless bleating and let me feed the dog. About 2 months after the dog appeared, my sister who was about 4 at the time, raced over to the dairy one day unbeknownst to Dad.

Figuring that he lets the cows go after milking she went to the bottom gate and opened it. The hinges were a little dodgy and the gate fell across her tiny body pinning her to the ground across the narrow entrance with over 100 hungry cows on one side, and a paddock where their nights feed had been previously deposited on the other.

The cattle became restless, sniffing and snorting and milling around the gate.
Those at the rear were getting restless moving the mass of cattle towards the opening.

Now like a Rin Tin Tin or Lassie movie this mangy old half starved flee bitten dog jumped out into the opening and stood there for what must have been 20 minutes keeping those cattle from stampeding across the prostrate body of my little sister.

My father kept that dog in luxury for the rest of its days, it lived another 15 years, 15 years of care, loving, running, fetching balls, chasing cows and cars.

It was a dogs life, but to the day he died, that old Australian Sheep Dog was terrified of the broom.

    ABUSE goes deep.....

    True story ......

The so called "abuse" that our good white forefathers dished out has NO bearing on a 18 year old abo youth robbing old ladies... Nor does it on the abo that gets pissed down the pub and then goes home to beat his mrs and rape his kids. You say abuse runs deep..i say the victim mentality runs deeper.

    Um……………..no it isn’t.

They would be sitting around just fine if they had been left to their own devices.

Of course as the modern world grew, people less developed were always going to suffer from the incursions of the more developed. Here the US etc.

And here lies the moral of the story....if someone has no self esteem, and
that lack of self esteem is worsened by negative reinforcement and learnt
helplessness, what chance have you got.....whether youre indiginous or not!!!

Umm ...YES IT IS. And fools that keep sprouting this "abos are the victims" cr@p are not really helping. All you are doing by that is giving abos the green light to act the way they do because its "all someone else's fault".

Like I said, it is an extremely complex issue, when I said it is there own doing you need to take that in the context it was said in.

Most Aboriginals will admit that alcohol, violence, homelessness and crime etc is the main issues facing their people. Most will also say the way to fix it is to man up and stop doing it, but like I said, the hurt, the pain, the scars of 2 centuries of abuse go deep.

Then morons who incite violence then sit back and denigrate them for it, polies who bow more to media hype and pressure from white wing members are too spineless to do anything.

The hurt and pain is nothing more than an excuse. It may run deep but the victim mentality runs deeper, and it is perpetrated by people that have no idea how the real world works.

They can see ours - we cannot see theirs

I personally, find it rather annoying so I don't bother and just let my eyes slide across the post, at most doing a quick scan to see if finally, and eventually, there might be something worth commenting on - 99% of the time there is nothing worthy

This is particularly valid when the member in question is "trolling" i.e. deliberately posting inflammatory material so they can "get a rise" out of "PC Sooks"

Worth repping and repeating - negative reinforcement in the form of racism is one of the major issues.

And why are people racist - well usually it is because they themselves have self esteem issues and need to feel "superior" to others

Yes your right that it is annoying, but I kind of get a little pleasure knowing they know I cannot see what they say.

Not only that, but as I deal with racism on a daily basis and I must say I do have much too short a fuse, although as I grow older and a little wiser I am controlling myself a lot better.

I will say this however, if it comes to protecting and defending my partner, who has one of the most beautiful souls I have ever seen, black or white, I will fight until my last drop of blood.

Thankfully, although we often strike racism, people who judge her solely on the colour of her skin, they have never had enough acorns to do any more than spew garbage. That I can handle because as you say, it is them who are inferior and they spare no effort proving it.

You are truly blessed then. I have met many indigenous people whose souls shine with an inner light that is simply beautiful

A little story you may like.

My father is 95 and the most remarkable man I have ever met, my partner and I travel regularly to visit him, do some shopping, work on his championship garden for him.

Nearly every time we are here, if we are in the car together, we are stopped by the police.

One day, my partner, Dad and I were travelling to the cemetery to put flowers on Mum's grave. This cop followed us until we were in a deserted area at the back of town then put on his siren.

I obliged and on stopping started to get out of the car, the I would say early twenties police officer, immediately pulled and pointed a loaded gun at my head.

Now I spent many many years as an assault trooper in the Australian Army and I am very sure that in the positions we were in I would have had no trouble removing his weapon and inserting it where the sun don't shine, I tell you, anyone pointing a gun at me wants to be very careful.

Luckily, Dad who was in the back seat, and I am sure that the officer never saw him in the back, got out and walked up to the officer, stared him straight into the eye and said. "I have lived in this town since before any police officer in this town was even born, most probably before even your father was born"

My God you should have seen the colour drain from his face (now he looked really white, well maybe a shade of grey).

Dad said "I know the Sergeant, most of the council, and about 60% of this town, if you have an issue with my son, then you have an issue with me."

Pulling Dad off him, we got back in the car, Dad first and my partner last.

As she was getting in he (copper) said to her, "your lucky, I would have enjoyed taking you back to the station and had some fun"

I got back out and walked to the police car window and said, "what was that", he just drove away.

This sort of thing happens too often to us, one day I may snap and then none of us will be any better off and I will be in prison.

Maybe, I have learnt a lot of self control, I just hope it's enough.
