Harris is doing what democrats do best and that's hypocritical and conflicting pandering based on the political winds. Of all people, she must be familiar with her own prosecution record of charging people with weed violations and putting some of them in prison all while she bragged about smoking weed herself. And the thing is, she posted the same tweet several years apart and you'd think she would have learned from the backlash she received the first time. Intelligence is not her forte.

I agree, nobody should go to jail for smoking weed
I also agree that nobody should fly a plane, or do any other things that could affect another person's life while High or drunk or in ANY kind of altered state

I hate to come to the defense of Kamal Harris, but as a prosecutor she is responsible for enforcing all laws, not just the ones she agrees with.

If Biden wins the election she will become president. That’s a scary thought. She’s also admitting to breaking the law.

No… it shouldn’t. I believe it has a strong link to mental illness and crime.

Mass shooters at Rep. Gabby Giffords’s constituent meeting in Tucson, Ariz. (2011), a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. (2012), the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla. (2016), the First Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas (2017), and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. (2018, were reported to be marijuana users. It could be a coincidence, but increasing evidence suggests a connection.

    also a good read

Up to an age of around 25, mj permanently affects the brain. There are numerous studies. Alcohol is worse, but that does not make mj harmless.

But she didn't enforce it against herself, just mostly POC which is why they hate her.

The connection to mass shooters is pretty prevalent. I think it’s hard to argue. And the study I posted is a very reputable source. Even Kamala Harris has acknowledged the link to mental illness.

The only reason to link it to crime is that its illegal.

It wasn’t tried… it was actively using… the study I posted was from a credited place. Facts suck

There is some connection there as well. I’m sure you are right. I believe both should be looked at. But that study does suggest a very strong connection. I would have to see one done on alcohol as well.

nope, if it happened, we would all see it

    from your article

"It is important to note that the present review does not include findings from controlled laboratory studies. These studies have been used to assess the effect of cannabis on behavior, to understand how cannabis interacts with alcohol and other drugs to influence behavior, and to characterize the dose-dependent effects of cannabis as they relate to its potential for addiction. Evidence from this body of research—though illuminating at the mechanistic level—does not provide information on the mental health effects of cannabis use in real-world conditions, and was excluded for this reason."

They’re simply saying that there may be a difference in real world than in a controlled environment. That doesn’t undermine their findings at all.
