No, these plans have been in place for years. All the royals have funeral plans named after bridges.

    Indeed.

"Over two decades, he did have some assistance – from the time he took over in 2002 to April this year, Fitzalan-Howard told Brittain the funeral planning team grew from 20 to 280 people. He added that he was able to use the funeral of the Queen's father, King George VI, who died in 1952, as a reference point.'

I will provide this forum with my impressions when I saw your so-called "King" sitting or I should say slumping in some sort of throne in this coronation robes and that stupid over-sized crown on his head.
My first reaction was that looked terribly unhappy. (Then I remembered the old guy who yelled out at this so-called "King," "Who made you king?!" I loved that, and yes, I agree with the old buzzard.) My next reaction viewing the photo was that the so-called "King" was small, pathetic-looking, and not at all good-looking sitting in that chair. He was in now way a symbol of a leader of any stripe. He was, well, pathetic-looking. For heaven's sake, what a pathetic creature you autocratic obedient idiots allowed to remain a billionaire and keep the scam called "monarchy" in wealth and power while tens of millions of English are in distress. I don't count Scotland, which was forced in the union by their bankruptcy from the Darien venture, which the English government crushed by colluding with the Spanish. I don't count Wales, because English has no business there. The Welch were the real British, not the people who call themselves English, who are actually Germanic and also descendants of nordic invaders. I don't of course count the northern counties of Ireland, because English conquered them, and they belong to a united Republic of Ireland. I can't wait for the unionists to get their asses kicked for once and for all. I believe in Karma, and I know that the so-called "King's" cancer is cosmic payback for his cruelty to his real wife Diana, and for his belief in his privilege. I do not wish cancer and the pain involved on anyone, understand, but I do believe in Karma. Oh, and let me add that that mistress, Carmela, or whatever her name is, is ugly and in no way part of any monarchy, no matter what the government or media assert. She was made a "Queen," whatever that is by a previous "Queen," who despite the distress of her so-called "subjects," did everything in her power to keep the family in a position of power, wealth and privilege. This is all a medieval relic. You should read the journals of the English writer who noted the corruption and greed of the German Georges'. The family is not English, it is German. The former "Queen" was deliberately secretive, obtuse and sly about perpetuating the life of privilege, wealth and power, and blind to the distress of the English people. Get a life, all of you, and stand up with some shred of morality, and depose these people and put their property into the national Treasury so you can re-institute a social welfare state like you once had. Rip the robes off all of them and put them to work in a shitty factory where they can endure the pain of the immigrants struggling for a living in a hugely unjust country.

Your impressions are noted and discarded. Nice of you to take a thread totally off-topic with an asinine diatribe.

The Coronation wasn’t some happy party. Perhaps Charles was looking somber because the Coronation took place for one reason — the death of the Queen. Maybe, he was thinking about his mother. He often spoke about that in the past, how he was dreading a coronation because it would mean his mother had died.

The man is 75 years old. He isn’t in the best health. Do you always shame people based on their looks? Do you actually know anything about Charles? You are basically denigrating a person related to the family they were born into. Maybe he looks pathetic to you. Talking about pathetic — your post comes to mind. The Royal Family does serve some purpose for the UK. Millions of people visit Britain to see monarchy related things. In fact, Americans are the number one visitors to the UK. Each year, the royal family is responsible for generating millions of pounds worth of tourism for the United Kingdom in the area of £64 million per year.

His Majesty King Charles III has founded 18 charities, been the patron or president of more than 400 organisations, and has a genuine and avid interest in the natural environment and sustainability. These charities aren’t for the monarchs benefit, they benefit many citizens of the UK.

“Tens of millions” of the English are not in distress due to the monarchy. That would be the governments fault and their deplorable actions over the years. The monarchy does not have any active involvement in UK politics.

I was born in Scotland, I now live in England. I love both countries. I think Wales is amazing. I haven’t been to Ireland. They all have rich histories and are beautiful places. I guess it’s at least nice that you are only xenophobic related to England and not the rest of the UK. Who cares what you think about the UK especially when you describe the royals as ‘germanic’. Do you hate Germans too? King Charles is British. Both of Queen Elizabeth’s parents were British as were their parents. Charle’s father, Philip was born in Greece into the Greek and Danish royal families. Philip became a naturalised British subject in 1947. There were tons of immigrants from all over Europe that moved to America in the past. Do Americans refer to themselves as European? Having German blood in your lineage somewhere doesn’t make you ‘Germanic’.

Oh puleeze — Karma? Seriously, is Catherine’s cancer a result of her marrying into the Royal family? Queen Camilla is Charles’ wife. She is very much part of the Royal family. People like yourself tear her apart due to the tabloids. She wasn’t much liked due to Diana but that relationship was doomed from the beginning. Camilla has got on with her royal duties and she has won over much of the British public with her down to earth way and her charitable work. She is very notably against domestic violence, rape, and sexual abuse and has raised a ton of money to help those who have been victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape. She is 76 years old and you have shamed her looks. How shallow of you.

Again, the family are all citizens of the UK. They are British. The former Queen was not blind to the distress of the citizen’s of the UK. Why don’t you get a life and stop denigrating people for having a monarchy and actually stop posting unhinged misinformation. The former Queen was a patron of 519 charities and helped them raise £1.4 billion. The Royal Family together are patrons to over 2,400 charities in the UK (about 3,000 worldwide). Prince Charles’s charities raise £100 million annually. They may be rich but the members of the Royal Family work. They don’t just sit around doing nothing. Have you ever lived in the UK? If you want to address the pain of immigrants — try paying attention to your own country. If you want to denigrate leaders for being ugly — one word — Trump. It has been acknowledged by political leaders all over the world that the Queen handled her role with grace and remarkable political skill. Her sense of duty earned her respect worldwide and many people mourned her passing.

I hope your off-topic diatribe full of hatred and bile made you feel good. It’s unfortunate when anybody gets cancer. It’s not easy to deal with and treatments can be brutal.

The Daily Beast isn’t a reliable news source. What friends? Who in the palace? It’s just gossip until there is an official response from the Palace and they don’t generally respond to gossip or they would be issuing responses every three seconds. King Charles has been seen out and about, so isn’t exactly in palliative care circumstances yet. If he is receiving chemotherapy, it’s very hard on the body and makes people very ill and if they are ‘throwing everything at it’, then he’s probably getting some nasty meds.

What does it mean plans are constantly being updated? They have been planning his funeral for years — they know the where and all the other details, just not the when.
