`New York Man Finds $2.9 Million Winning Lotto Ticket in His Truck`:omg:

A New York man who has been playing the lottery nearly every week for a decade without ever winning a prize ended his unlucky streak when he found a $2.9 million winning ticket in his truck’s center console.

Jerry Ritieni, a 47-year-old auto shop owner from Massapequa, was digging for a set of keys in his truck’s console on Aug. 23, when he found the misplaced ticket, one he had purchased over a month earlier, on July 19, he told ABC News today.
Ritieni stuck the ticket under his keyboard at work but got busy and did not check the ticket's numbers until one week later.

Well, gee, why can't I have that kind of luck.

    Rassin frassing racken macken...

I can tell you about the worse luck I ever had in a game.

I was playing a game of Star Wars with some friends of mine and it was a pod racing game. I was the pilot. Now, in order to succeed in this game you have to roll a dice, subtract any skill ranks from a difficulty number, roll a 20 sided die, and match or beat the number, and you succeed.

I had my skill in piloting so high I needed low numbers to succeed. So during this one part of the course that was to turn or go off a cliff, but it was an easy turn. With my skill the difficulty number was lowered to a five. So, on a roll of 5 or higher on a 20 sided dice.

So I rolled the die to make the turn.

Remember, a second is like an eternity to an android.

The die came up a three.

So I was given an extra roll because my friends couldn't believe the luck and thought it shouldn't have happen.

So I roll again, and waited for another eternity.

    It came up a 2.

Nobody could believe their eyes, so they ahd me roll one last time.

The clocks hammered away and the movement of the hands across the clocks face sounded like a mallet beating an anvil.

    Then I rolled a 1.

so, there was only one thing left to do.

Go off the cliff and have a spectacular crash and burn.

    Thus, the game was over.

Some days, you just can't beat your destiny.

And on that day, the dice were not with me.
