Lots of things carried the death penalty in the Old Testament, not all of them sins (and not all sins carried the death penalty either). Afaik the only Christians who observed Judaic Law as written there were Jesus and His 12 disciples, though they were arrested for blasphemy, so it could be argued that they were Heretics of Judaism as much as followers of it.

Christians today by and large do not follow Judaic law. With the possible exception of a few odd sects, the OT is largely regarded as an historic/contextual text by Christians, not binding law.

Emphasing the physical and carnal in deference to man's spiritual nature limits their Godly potential and is therefore a sin. We were made in the image of God, and when someone deviates from it he's lowering himself to an animal - and that was never God's intent.

But the deviants are not to blame. They're part of a sick society that's obsessed in tearing down the established norms of our Christian world system.

Not like us tolerant liberals who have people fired from their jobs for posting comments that offend us

That's because man cannot be perfected by laws alone. Christians believe that to acquire the perfection needed in ones heart it must come from God. But we must be open to it, and that comes from prayer and repentance. This is where Christianity progressed from the Judaic moral laws, and into God's Grace to unite with Him in His World and Existence.

The Old Testament gives an example of what will happen to us if we tread on the moral laws - and as a lover of history, I have seen it many times. God doesn't punish though, since it would be a negation of His Creative nature. The reason God is presented that way, is because we wouldn't be able to understand the consequences of our actions otherwise.

A private company has the right to freedom of association. They don't have to associate with you if they don't want to. Comparing that too government jailing someone for 2 years for hurting feelings is complete nonsense.

Where once I had hope, I now only have scorn. Catholics jailing rainbow makers, which they claim defiles the mother of the man who washed the feet of a prostitute. There is a lesson here, and the Catholics are missing it.

If one thing is true, its that Jesus taught love, compassion, and understanding; not hate, contempt, and ridicule.

What she did expressed the ugliness of a society, where people feel they can insult people's faith with impunity. We have seen it here towards Christianity. We have seen it in France and Holland towards Muslims, and we have even seen whores being wined and dined by Hillary, for denigrating a cathedral in Moscow.

I say enough is enough. It's time we returned to civility. :oldman:

Jailing her for hurting feelings is a far, far uglier side of society than "Hey, maybe don't hate and mistreat gay people" is. You are trying to pass of jackbooted thuggery and quasi-fascism for "civility."

So you feel people insulting make believe invisible friends represents the ugliness of a society but I don’t recall you being in any of the threads where gay people are murdered, arrested, or disenfranchised saying the same.

Your made up beliefs should not overrule actual people. Ever. Under any circumstance.
