So when the MSM presents Trump as threatening to withhold the vaccine from New York State, even though Gov. Cuomo refuses it because he doesn't trust where the vaccine is coming from, you consider it the truth? Well I don't!

Here's another example. The law firm in Pennsylvania working for Trump is quitting because of threats, yet that's not how the media has been presenting it.

    YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

    1) Because capitalism has never been like that.

    2) No, it's not how we grew. After the Civil War, we did what most countries do when they want to build a capitalist economy. We wanted to export agriculture. You need capital for capitalism to work, and that's one of the easiest ways to get it. Problem was, our agriculture was banned from Europe because it sucked.

So we started the Aggie colleges, Ag outreach, improved transportation, invested in R&D (we put R&D money into the McCormick reaper), regs, and more.

The same thing had already happened in England, only more so. Capitalism has always been a cooperation between business and government and regs has always been part of it.

I'm thinking in terms of free enterprise and that people should be able to own and conduct their own business' without being hindered by too many regulations, fears of lawsuits and exuberant insurance costs, etc., etc.

I don't like globalism because of the interdependency of one area to another. It makes everyone vulnerable in case of war or a natural disaster. In the EU, Britain was to be the banking nation, France the agricultural nation, Germany the industrial nation, Greece the tourist nation, etc., etc.

Well what happens when there's a disaster or war in France and the rest of the EU has given up its farms? To me it seems like a massive control of population and a form of enslavement.

I thought you leaned left? Michael Moore Earned a name for himself creating scathing political films leaning left during the W. Bush administration. Then there were Obama's terms and Moore lost his celebrity status.

I had you pegged as a left-winger, so I'm surprised you didn't hear about Michael Moore. I didn't even examine his works and yet I know about him.

Lol. Eliminate the Electoral College to legitimize secession and break up the Union.

These folks who think rural America is going to let some faraway disconnected majority vote them into servitude to the state are hilarious. Just not in a 'haha' way...

    1) Then perhaps you should have said that.

    2) The Greatest Generation created the global economy to create as much stability as it was possible to get. It worked. But that interdependence had started long before. You want to take a cake and change it back into eggs, sugar and flour. No can do...

    3) Except it's not, you are indulging a fantasy.

    He was right once

It was the exception. He is routinely working about who will win elections

If you want to know who will win see who he says and go with the other candidate

99% of the time he is wrong and a moron

The Left talk about the 'precautionary principle' to ban things without having to provide scientific merit.
Nothing on earth demands more 'precautionary principle' like Marxism - it destroyed several hundred
    million lives.

You will need to ask the Evil Witch who will replace him by then. Not even Biden voters expect him to finish one term.

Franklin Roosevelt is my favorite president. However he won presidential elections by bigger margins than Joe Biden did, so he is not a good role model. Also, Roosevelt's reforms were effective. Democrat efforts to achieve racial equality have not worked. The Democrat Party lacks and needs to earn the confidence of the white majority.

Most people want medicare for all, including a surprising number of republicans

    https://www.newsweek.com/69-percent...-46-percent-republicans-new-poll-says-1500187

NPVA, right on bro', we could use that one, keep republicans out of office with the popular vote because most people do not like republicans.

    No? Well....

2,868,676 more votes were cast for Democrats in 2016,
9,710,275 more votes were cast for democrats in the house in 2018,
and 17,537,638 more votes were cast for democrats in the senate in 2018,
therefore, the inescapable conclusion is that the vast majority of the electorate
    would prefer a democrat

Guess what, nothing Moore recommends is socialism!

    Look up the definition.

Oh here come the "communist" bogeymen.....

BTW, what's not to like about "an economy that works for all" (Sanders's words), ie enables both freedom and fairness?

Maybe you can answer: what's not to like about "an economy that works for all" (Sanders's words), ie enables both freedom and fairness?

Fairness is enabled by a free market.

The attempted enforcement of fairness leads nowhere but authoritarianism.

I'm surprised to see this simplistic argument from you; what worked in the past will not necessarily work now.

Our modern global economy is far too complex for individuals to be able to survive by their own abilities alone.

The mere fact of entrenched un/under/hidden-unemployment (eg the 'rust belt'* and inner-city ghettos) proves that proposition.

No, that's just an assertion based on obsolete neoliberal ideology.

In a world of plenty, with production increasingly facilitated by AI and IT, fairness is obviously achievable in the US.

Note: fairness is not consistent with 10% owning 90% of the nation's wealth, while the bottom 20% have negative wealth...
