Wow, i remember this EXACT sentences so well, infact i swear to god i heard it at least a thousand times.
This is a textbook Kemalist propaganda, that was taught to me, you and now the young, unfortunate generations.
These speeches that begin with "if it was not for Ataturk" i am sorry but i have heard the same propaganda too many times. Its becoming boring. Turkey was invaded by all fronts and the almighty Ataturk came to the rescue. Flew like a supermen and saved the day. I m sorry but i am not as naive as you are. Although i always admitted Ataturk's magnificent commander skills and his great contributions to our independence, ignoring all the other commanders and soldiers and simply glorifying as if Ataturk single handedly rescued the Turks is pure propaganda. Give some credit to the other commanders, and soldiers, they are equally as heroic as Ataturk.

I think you are unaware of Ataturk's letters to Russia, asking for help, and maybe nobody told you about all those cannons and other rifles we got from the Russians during our independence. but then again, why tell you this? this would damage the god-like image of you putperest kemalists.
as i have said, you are naive. Ataturk was a project. created by the western imperialists to give the final blow to Ottoman Empire. His rebellion was predicted by them to dissolve the historical empire and all this revolutions included western-like aspects , from alphabet to the way we dress, Ataturk's revolution was orchestrated by the western powers, to ensure a creation of a western-friendly nation goes as smooth as possible.

I have no problem with Ataturk, he was a great military general and definitely an important figure for my people. BUT that is it. creating monuments all over our lands and basically worship him is crazy. we should realize this sooner or later. Getting out of Ataturk airport, passing through the Ataturk boulevard, just next to the Ataturk stadium, at the Ataturk Cultural Center. can you see what i mean? your put perest -like worshipping has caused the public to consider you kemalists just as any other radical.

I am not an arab lover- but then again, those textbooks that i have mentioned above also taught you how "arabs backstabbed us" - again, another western imperialist infestation that brainwashed our many generations under the disguise of kemalist revolution. Arabs wanted to be free, independent, the world at the time was going crazy with the rise of a new concept called "nationalism" and Ottoman Empire had suffered too, simple. The reason you look down on Arabs and being western wanna be with your skirts and pop music is because the true powers that are responsible for the Kemalist revolution wanted to alienate you against Arabs. you are just a toy in a project- called kemalism

suddenly, the entire population HAD TO adapt to this new way of living, this new way of writing, this new way of dressing. this was not asked to the people in a public poll or something, a DEMOCRACY is asking the people what it wants for its future. Ataturk however did the thinking for them, and decided whats "best" for millions of people. now that is Authoritarianism and he did not allow an opposition party during his presidency.
now i ask non turks in this forum: what is this telling you? a democratic leader or a dictator?
