Crack Is Wack. Waka Waka Waka! The GOP likes to think of themselves as above the law. This local politician thinks he can smoke crack like if he was a teen vaping on strawberry-scented nicotine. Bodycam footage of the incident shows Reilly passed out in his car with a crack pipe in his hand. Reilly was arrested on Monday and charged with possession of a controlled narcotic. In the footage, Reilly, who is an attorney, said he had a relapse after 13 years of being sober following a bad divorce. Divorce and dope ... Hmmm ....

The guy is a lawyer and he’s talking to the cops rather than shutting his pie hole?

Saw this one. What confused me most was how he could smoke crack and sleep at the same time. Only thing I can think of is hes been on a multi day bender and finally just collapsed. Wonder if he and hunter have same dealer?

It takes genius to try to evade the interrogation of the police officer in lieu of just saying "Am I under arrest, officer? In either case, I would rather respectfully invoke my right to remain silent."

This guy was trying to catch flies with his pie-hole. Look at the video as he is lying back in his seat.

"Well, a Cranston, Rhode Island councilman was caught smoking crack."

"Where? Who the hell ever heard of Cranston Rhode Island?"

"That's irrelevant. You know what you have to do."

"But it's a nobody politician in a nobody place!"

"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN! YOU BETTER GET THIS ON EVERY TV STATION IN AMERICA AND MAKE SURE TRUMP'S PICTURE IS RIGHT NEXT TO HIS OR YOU'RE OUT OF A JOB! COMPRENDE?"

"Uhhh, yes sir.... or ma'am, Whatever you are today."

Controversially, I'd have no problem even with hard drugs, provided they are sold via a prescription, etc. Way I see it, as long as you don't pose a harm to others/society, if you wanna knock yourself out then who am I to blame that person?

I agree this politician is a fool, and far too many Republicans think they are morally above others, this stupidity is with some Democrats too

Let me see if I got the Cliff Notes version of this story. A minor politician, not a mayor or the county commissioner or something important, whom no one has ever heard of, from a place no one has ever heard of, who was mocked by both the left and the right was caught sleeping off a bender following a bad divorce. From this, we are to gather that all Republicans think of themselves above the law. Did I get the point of the OP?

It would appear you are trying to paint the GOP with a broad stroke based on the actions of a crackhead. It just shows that no one is above addiction or resorting to sweeping generalization fallacies.
