Keep having to log in multiple times during a session, sometimes after only a few minutes, I got to submit a post and it takes me to the logon screen.

If you're not checking the "remember me" box @ log in, try doing so. That may keep you from being dropped.

Happens to me as well, even with the remember me option. Will add it to the list of complaints.

Sorry Shang. I haven't had an issue with getting dropped. If I read of a solution elsewhere, I'll post it here.

Sorry. I had to quote that for prosperity.

Guys and gals...try Firefox or Google Chrome. Anything but IE.

I use both, no difference. Seems the bloopers are short lived but more frequent.
Moderating as a pain in the rear. Anyone got a drink around here?

Same here, but I have never had a problem with the logging out issue. I wonder if anyone else has experienced it and knows how to fix it?

There is a chance that FF may have corrupted a specific file, especially if you've noticed the issue after a recent version update of FF... you may wish to uninstall, then reinstall.

This is a simple procedure, that is well worth trying. ;)

Could it be a corrupt cookie?

Try clearing cookies from IE. That might solve it, although it might delete all your saved login passwords as well, so you might take that into consideration first.

No solution for fixing it... but I think I've figured out what causes my 'log out' probs during the day. With the last upgrade, my work computer now has a feature called 'Browse in private' which means it doesn't store cookies on the company's server. Naturally, it's going to log you off sometimes... but still, it happens more on this site than anyplace else I visit.

One other observation. The Database Errors we get are the same problem we've had for at least the last 2 years... maybe longer. Seems to me we have a corrupt database and the only way to solve it is to wipe it out and start over.

Either that, or we're being hacked... which I still think is a very good possibility.

Whatever it is, if this was a company, we'd be out of business by now. When a company's computer systems crash, it never takes longer than a weekend to get it back up and running. It's ridiculous how long this site's been experiencing the SAME PROBLEMS WE SEE TODAY. Very frustrating for all involved.

    Quick question.
Does it work faster for you now?

    *knocks on wood*

Geesh, hate to jinx anything, but it's only knocked me OFF once today and I don't think I've had one database error. Speed has been off & on... sometimes fast, sometimes a little slow.

That's been my experience today. Did they operate and remove something??
