Surrender to the personal whims of the sexual abuser facing 91 felony counts is sealing the fate of the Republican Party. The entire GOP House caucus is now locked in this fall-on-your-butt loop of dysfunction. Currently, close to two dozen Republicans are making it clear they can’t take more of the sad comedy. They are leaving their broken caucus... Even when presented with an immigration reform bill endorsed by border guards, the Chamber of Commerce and the conservative editorial page of The Wall Street Journal, the bill was rejected by House Republicans. By following Trump’s lead, Johnson found himself unable to accept a bill to increase the number of border security patrol agents; funding to speed the handling of asylum claims; and power for the president to close the border during any surge of illegal crossings. Now the House GOP faces a possible failure on funding for critically important U.S. allies in Ukraine and Israel, again because of opposition from Trump. With Trump likely to be at the top of the GOP ticket in November there is no rush of serious Republican newcomers running for Congress. They are fearful of shackling themselves to this sinking ship. You hate the Republican Party as long it's not a carbon copy of the Democrat Party. So why do you care?
I have conversations with this person. His avatar is an insult to Calvin Coolidge. He has no respect for the Republican Party.
So you don't have a quote to offer not only detailing the hate or the reason. Instead you point to an avatar that insults Calvin Coolidge. Are you perchance aware that 'lack of respect for' and 'hate' are not synonymous?
I respect individuals of integrity regardless of party. The current GOP is infested by some who are not. Whom you hate is your business, not mine.
Please try to discuss the substance of my post. Your speculative ad hominen effusions are irrelevant.
Okay. Trump can’t win, but other Republicans can’t defeat the Trump cult, and every time the justice system piles on him, he gets more primary votes. The chances of the Republicans winning the presidential election are about 40%. Trump will get 45% of the popular vote. If the election is close, the Democrats will manufacture enough votes in the key states to win it. The Democrat strategy of piling on Trump with the Justice System is brilliant. They pick the weakest Republican candidate, and tie up Trump so he can’t campaign. Happy? I'm not. The country is going down the toilet for far left policies. Here's a 1924 button that was dedicated to your favorite Republican.
America's system of jurisprudence in which Trump is being held to account for his behavior may well intensify the adoration of those who worship the Cry Baby Loser as being above the law, but the GOP will be fumigated, in way or another, sooner or later, and the nation will recover. His own Supreme Court rulings against him exposes the excuse of partisan bias and considerably hurts the viability of his constantly-flailed victim card.
The American legal system is going the toilet. It's been headed there for a while because of the Democrats. You and I shall agree to disagree. You might learn the error of your ways when your rights are gone, but by then it will be too late.
I don't share your hyper-partisanship, although Trumpery has perverted the GOP, no doubt, Those who receive justice have been known to lash out.
