Denzel Washington *actress Cate Blanchett The Cell "Shutter Island" or "The Sixth Sense"... undecided. "Inception" "Lord of the Rings" trilogy (counted as one long movie) "Jarhead" "Hero" "What Dreams May Come" "The Social Network" "Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon"
There are a few more they have done, that I love. I would like it very much if they co produced a film with Quentin Tarantino, just to see what the film would end up like.
I'll admit pulp fiction was good, but his movies since have been cheesy. B movies at best. He is a great writer, in a time when Hollywood has none. I prefer him writing scripts and handing them off to make the best picture possible, as there are far better directors. Did you know he wrote True Romance and Natural Born Killers? The dialogue he writes is brilliant.
I agree. There are a couple of watchable Quinton movies, and they move from watchable into brilliant. I do not like him... but I do not understand how people can deny the brilliance of Pulp Fiction. It was really unlike anything at the time.
Yes, I did, TTLD. And very good they were, esp True Romance. Always good soundtracks on his films, as well. Have you seen Inglorious Basterds?
I love Pulp Fiction. I happened to see it, years ago, before it became really well known. Perhaps some did not like it, because they could not keep up with the way it is made, with stuff being back to front? Lots of metaphors in it, as well.
1. Don't know 2. Don't know 3. The Exorcist, or Eyes Wide Shut...lol 4. Either Shutter Island, The Usual Suspects, or Fight Club 5. 1-PULP FICTION 2-Apocalypse Now 3-Full Metal Jacket 4-Saving Private Ryan 5-Schindler's List 6-AMERICAN PSYCHO 6. Nah 7. Yup, Enter The Dragon
Well to be quite honest about it I can actually say that I have never liked any of these also. LOL 1-PULP FICTION 2-Apocalypse Now 3-Full Metal Jacket 4-Saving Private Ryan 5-Schindler's List 6-AMERICAN PSYCHO
Yeah. I liked the parts about the inglorious basterds, but the majority of the moving was really boring, all about the girl who survived and the cinema house. That's what I mean. He is a great writer, but his films need someone else producing and directing to be truly great works. If that movie would have just been about the inglorious basterds, it would have been as great as pulp fiction. The only movie I can compare it to is Sin City, where the sequence with Mickey Rourke was awesome, but the rest of the movie was cheesy as hell. So you don't know whether to love or hate it.
How about The Wrestler, with Mickey Rourke (since you mention him)? Seen that? I thought it was pretty good. Although, quite what he has done to his face is beyond me. He looks like he has fallen asleep to close to an electric heater, and it's been melted!!!
HGH? What is that? Anyway, last night I watched Old Boy. Korean film. Subtitles. However, if you can deal with that, it has an excellent plot.
On the subject of films I would just like to throw something out there and am interested to know if anyone else noticed and are pissed off about it. One of the coolest things I figured out, as I watch a lot of movies, is the fact I could pop in a dvd, hit stop twice, then press play and the movie would automatically start. Well recently they must have figured this out because the movies I have purchased in last couple of months just restart the adds when you do it. Cheesy bull(*)(*)(*)(*). This rant brought to you by Til the Last Drop.
