And you have a problem with paying them for a job that is not subjected to their contract.
    How utterly interesting!

Wrong. My daughter is in her 7th year as a teacher. This is her first school year as one of the armed staff on her campus. In all of the armed teacher/staff programs of which I am aware, every one of them is staffed exclusively by volunteers. The agreement my daughter & her colleagues signed requires them to undergo regular training regimens, without pay - something they all know going in.

The provision should have been made by the "politicians" to ensure them pay equal to a trained police officer above their pay as a professional teacher.
This is a terrible precedent to set.

Given that the teachers have been rendered helpless and vulnerable by irrational gun control laws they should be happy to pay for their freedom.
Freedom could be a big revenue generator for Big Bad Governments.
Such an incentive would almost certainly prove to be more effective than the COTUS with respect to preserving fundamental human rights.

Where is the entity that is suppose to "protect and defend" during the turbulent situations?
If the state of Tn wants this to take place........PAY them and pay them well.

Professional police have no duty to protect or defend individual citizens.

Police tend to act only after active shooters run low on ammunition and live targets -- or the police are the targets.

See: Uvaldi. Parkland, Columbine, The Pulse Nightclub, The Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, Michigan State, Half Moon Bay, Monterey Park, 2022 Chesapeake Shooting, Colorado Springs Nightclub Shootings ... .

I have a problem paying them for an unnecessary fake job that will result in more people dying. Not interesting at all really. Just reality.

So you don't want them paid. Got it. Neither do I, quite honestly. Teachers like my daughter volunteer because they are willing & able to assume some responsibility for their students' safety. Not for the extra beer money. Do you approve of unpaid volunteers like my daughter, or are you opposed to armed teachers altogether?
