There are many people claiming no one wants to come after your guns.
Well, that's just not true, and here's more proof.

Massachusetts House Bill 4038, introduced July 2021, would ban all semi-automatic guns, including rifles.

They're cleverly playing games with definitions. An average person could read through the wording of this bill and not realize what it does, parts of the law that confusingly refer to other separate parts of the law.

END GAME: Ban All Guns! Here's Proof - YouTube

It would be difficult for anyone to defend their homes from intruders with only a single-shot rifle.
The frightened homeowner might tragically have to aim to kill if he only has one chance.

Not all of the state is super-progressive but the big city area around Boston dominates politics in the state.

Actually, the bill appears to be limited to rifles and shotguns.

I thought the pistols would be up for interpretation as well. But that doesn’t change the fact that they are trying to get rid of semi autos and if pistols aren’t included they most definitely will be in another revision down the road

Well damn, I was going to get 2 semi-auto 20 gauges. Before the BLM riots and everybody needed guns.
Oy! When does it stop, huh?
Oh! I know a Massachusetts blueblood dude, built like a pitbull, that's how the real ones are.
He's pretty cool. Me n him are OK.
People like him were involved in building the US.
    People like me, too.

If they're not banning pistols, then they're ignoring the vast bulk of shootings. Even if gun laws did solve any crime, this one still wouldn't.

It's not actually about reducing crime, is it? It's about restricting the rights of those who tend to vote for the other party.

Getting criminals to give up their semi-auto guns will be tough.

It has more to do with demographics than it does legal availability of guns.

If you removed everyone out of the US who was not middle class, suddenly homicide rates would go down to levels similar to other countries like in Europe or Australia.

Similarly, as Australia becomes more diverse, takes on other people from other parts of the world, and poverty rates increase, expect homicide rates to increase, including gun homicide rates. This is very much affected by what part of the world they are coming from.

See, the problem is you are only comparing the US to other high income European population countries. But the US is only partly like a high income European population country.

If you suddenly joined, say, England together with South Africa, into a single country, the gun homicide rates would look pretty similar to the US.

Parts of the US have big violence and crime problems, and if you took away guns, the middle class people who live near there would have to flee to somewhere further away. It would end up further increasing the rates of economic/racial segregation.

There is surprisingly a lot of gangs in Anchorage these days. (I watched a documentary one time about it and was surprised)

To prove it, that one city had 38 out of the total 78 murders committed in the entire state that year.

I don't think that is being taught in the history books they are using to teach school children in Massachusetts these days.

You read the latest school history books, you almost come away with the idea the entire revolution was about a struggle for more equality and the right to vote. You'd almost think the founding fathers were the old time equivalent of Che Guevara.
