Math is certainly Eternal. Our universe? Maybe not so much.

The value of Pi intrinsic to the circle must be a constant in any universe at any time.

I submit it will never ever die or cease to be.. I can't say as much for our universe. Hell I have a hard time believing earthlings will make it anywhere at all.

When will the never ending non repeating irrational number end?

A cool way of conceiving of eternity, of infinity.

Only thing is, I think, "Thought," itself is a fundamental part of God's nature & Being.

I come here when Zuckerberg gives me time out.. I got 7 days for saying "Joe, don't be a corporate whore like Hillary". There is a philosophy group I hang out with there.. This subject broguht up interesting debate.

It's a rabbit hole.. The never ending no repetive decimal must be a representation of what it is like to be sucked into a blackhole or something.

Someone once said to me.. Nothing is Evil until someone thinks it is.

In my opinion our Creator was first and foremost a Mathematician...... and Inventor...... an Archetict and our Creator soon got into forming fundamental energy into more and more and more living and seemingly non-living forms.

I am guessing something like ..... "I THINK.... THEREFORE I AM THAT I AM" happened first..... but I admit that that is a really good question.

I think you've found another rabbit- hole, in that idea.

Pi can't be written exactly in our 10-based number system with a finite number of digits.

But if we had Pi as the base, it would be a simple 10. 10 also represents the 2 in Binary or the 16 in Hexadecimal. :)

Pi as a base number?? **** I have trouble with binary.

Any number raised to an irrational exponent must be irrational... So it can't be 10.00000000000000......

The exponent is an integer as usual. But Pi is the base, so Pi^0 = 1, Pi^1 = 10, Pi^2 = 100, and so on.

When the universe ends, circles will end, and therefor math and pi will end as well.

The creator of the creator created all kinds of math.
God can't construct a triangle whose sum of interior angles is not 180 degrees.

Why not? Every one you create is going to be more than 180 degrees. the 180 degree thing is a rule of thumb. The earth is a sphere and not Euclidean space.

But the 180-degree rule only applies to the euclidean plane. God can't go against it. :)

Sure he/she/it can. Infinite dimensions offer up infinite possibilities.

The euclidian plane has only 2 dimensions. :)

Anyone can invent another geometry, but that's another topic.
We ask God to use the euclidean plane to draw a triangle with an angle sum unique to 180 degrees. He won't be able to.

Could you have different maths in a different universe? Maybe there Pi could be 3 exactly. Or 5.

As I said before, Pi is 10 in a numbering system based on Pi.

But only in this universe. It could be different elsewhere. Maybe circles and squares wouldn't exist.

In our universe, Pi can be defined as circumference divided by diameter.
In another universe, Pi may be the simple constant value of 10 without any reference to geometry.

Do photons have souls? Consciousness? If so, do they live in a 1D universe?
