You really gotta like a guy with enough juevos to say it like it is! :salute:

Background; reports have circulated that Mickey D's is hiring foreign workers over Canadians, something to do with Canada's Temporary Foreign Workers Program. Anyhow, if you're interesting, the full story is @ http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/mcdon...ontroversy-bull(*)(*)(*)(*)-1.2621151?cmp=rss

And this says that Ottawa has suspended the program @ http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...-sector-suspended-by-ottawa-1.2621385?cmp=rss

McD's has abused the program, it was meant to fill positions where there were labour shortages, but instead they use it to squeeze out canadians who were already in the jobs...any franchise does (*)(*)(*)(*) like this deserves to be boycotted...

I already knew this was happening, my kids were looking for work to pay tuition I asked why they didn't apply at Japanese sushi chain we were dinning in...they looked at me with looks all teenagers have perfected(the, are you that stupid look) then followed with, "duh, they don't hire canadians or whites, just asians"...it's blatant discrimination and it's intolerable in a multi-ethnic society...

He also said that Jobs Minister Jason Kenny had their backs, and the next day he suspended the program for McDs entirely.

In some areas the program has been used to screw over canadian workers (like requiring BC miners to know french, and offering lower then union wage so they can say they tried to find workers but couldn't)

Lots of abuse of the program and hopefully they will modify it to help Canadians get the jobs they need rather then paying lower wages to foreign workers.
