As long as chain migration exists, I guess Melania has as much right to use it for her parents as anyone else does. Her parents could have no doubt immigrated to the U.S. without her sponsorship anyway.

 

But we don't do that. We vet refugees, and we certainly vet immigrants brought in through sponsorship.

Is it fair to say then, that you support an immigrant who has obtained citizenship sponsoring their family's immigration ('chain migration')? You're really just against people from certain regions immigrating here?

That being said, everyone brought in through sponsorship is vetted. The visa process can take months.
