It depends on the country and state. In Canada a woman isn't being charged for false rape in USA it depends. Also women are using social media not the criminal justice system to claim rape.

It is very comforting to women that they are not alone, I was sexually assaulted by a guy who lived in my building but I. NEver dreamed of reporting it..it wasn’t even in my reality. Years later I was talking to women who had lived in the building and had the exact experience. He tried to rape me and he tried to rape her and we didn’t even know each other and it was the exact situation. If it were today we would have the confidence to report it and perhaps some of the women in the building might have had the same experience and would come forward. There is strength in numbers
