President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen’s book accused the president of corruption and fraud, according to an excerpt released Thursday.

In the book entitled “Disloyal, A Memoir,” Cohen made several accusations, including that the president “cheated” in the 2016 election with the help of Russia.

Cohen, Trump’s former fixer, wrote that Trump attempted to get close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and “his coterie of corrupt billionaire oligarchs.”

“Trump had colluded with the Russians, but not in the sophisticated ways imagined by his detractors. I also knew that the Mueller investigation was not a witch-hunt,” Cohen wrote.

“Trump had cheated in the election, with Russian connivance, as you will discover in these pages, because doing anything — and I mean anything — to ‘win’ has always been his business model and way of life,” he added.

Well it sounds like Cohen is saying he committed the crimes to protect Trump. Not sure this is going where the democrats think it is.

It's terrible that a large part of the population now accepts that making corrupt deals with a corrupt President is the "smart" thing to do.

Unfortunately, we know how this thread (and others about Cohen's book) will go. Everyone Trump likes, his supporters like. As soon as Trump turns on them, his supporters turn on them. It doesn't matter who they are, they are now dog *****. Everything they have to say is garbage.

Cohen was one of Trump's most loyal of employees. He made an ass of himself trying to defend and/or promote him in 2016. But now that he's sharing info about Trump, he's an idiot. He's a liar. He's scum.

To pay for medical care? You think that Cohen committed those acts out of "love" for Trump????

Look, if you conspire to rob a bank, all people in the conspiracy are guilty. It doesn't matter who commits the actual act.

Cohen made it clear since the very beginning that he committed those acts. And that it was under instructions from Trump. Trump has already been declared by a judge an "unindicted co-conspirator".

But the amazing thing is that this has been all over the news (the real news... probably not on Infowars or Rush or any of those nutjob disinformation sources) for over two years. But it looks like this is new to you.

So 50 FBI agents, two dozen CIA officials, 17 super lawyers, 2500 witnesses, and 17 intelligence agencies are all waiting on Cohens book so they can finely figure out how Trump conspired with Russia to fix a presidential election? This book will expose all the fraud, criminal activities, and Russia connections of Trump because either:

1. Cohen couldn't make a deal with Mueller to provide the information they all spent 2 1/2 years coming up empty handed
2. Cohen withheld information from the FBI and is going to expose how he did it to bring this information to light
3. Cohen gave the FBI all this information but all 17 intelligence agencies are conspiring with Trump to keep it quiet

What are you talking about? All the details of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia are already in the Mueller Report. There is probably much more in the parts that are redacted, but there is more than enough to know how they colluded. That's not what Cohen's book is about. I mean... if there is something new about that.. that would be interesting. But that's not much of a mystery to any average informed poster.

What's appealing about Cohen's book are the extent of Trump's criminal financial dealings....

Cohen played every card he had with Mueller to make a deal. He obviously didn't have anything of value.

Now his tell all book is going to illuminate everything? I don't think so.

 

Well... enough to get a deal. But Cohen's role was not in Trump's campaign or on matters related to their collusion with Russia in attacking our electoral system. His role was in Trump's personal businesses.

And the fact that you didn't know something this basic renders your "predictions" about the matter completely useless.

 

How much did you pay for the book?

 

If Cohen is willing to break his attorney client privilege oath, just because he was disbarred, so he can sell you a book to pay off his 50K fine after pleading guilty to tax evasion, campaign finance violations, and lying to the FBI, I guess he found his audience.

Kind of hard for most intelligent people to think Cohen's book is all of a sudden going to be the shining light of truth, after the fact.

But its perfect for the left who have a history of demeaning people when its convenient just to exonerate them again when it becomes convenient yet again. Everyone see's how it works.

I couldn't care less. I don't care about Cohen. I care about his revelations. Lock him up, give him The Chair, for all I care. I'm only interested in what he knows about Trump. And that people know the extent of his many crimes.

 

The book will most probably be a dud. Otherwise he might get in trouble for lying and or withholding from congress.
