'Migrants' now have to wait in Mexico

Don’t worry about it, ACLU will bring a case, some judge in San Francisco will issue an injunction and order the admission of anyone applying for asylum.

 

I mean, they are migrants. Nobody really disputes this. They're trying to migrate.

Asylum seekers and refugees are more contentious terms.

 

Question: Why don't the migrants want to go to Mexico?

Why do they pass through two or three perfectly good countries to get to their final destination country of choice?

Is it because Mexico is a sh(*)(*)hole ?
