Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reflected on his efforts to further religious freedom and promote peace during his time serving under the Trump administration and vowed to “stay in this important fight that we are all in for the soul of our country.”

“One of the things that I'm most proud of that we did is that we addressed the world that we saw, not the one we wished existed. We were very realistic about the things we could have an impact on,” Pompeo told Jewish-evangelical author Joel C. Rosenberg during a Thursday morning interview at the annual National Religious Broadcasters convention.

From addressing the Middle East to condemning the “true evil of the Chinese Communist Party,” the former CIA director said the Trump administration sought to identify and condemn human rights abuses around the world and promote religious liberty.

Secretary of State and firmer CIA director Pompeo did a great job protecting American interests abroad. He also recognized the importance of religious liberty not only here but also in every nation abroad. He saw things as they were and used the power and influence of our great exceptional nation to press for freedom of conscience and religious liberty everywhere. Well done!

 

This news report about former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaking about his role in our foreign policy was very interesting. He discussed US policy in various parts of the world and what our objectives were. He mentioned religious liberty and how it was a foreign policy objective of the USA to advance and promote it all around the world.

 

Lol…pompeo doesn’t fart without his wife’s permission. She’s pushing him to run for potus but his legacy as a trump bootlicker ruined her chances of becoming a flotus.

 

Pompeo had a great record promoting and defending America around the world as director of the CIA and Secretary of State.

 

Religious freedom is the ability to worship any deity or deities one wishes without interference from the state — it isn’t the ability to push those chosen beliefs onto others.

The extremist religious zealots seem to forget that all too often.

Pompeo's credibility was eviscerated when he said there will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.... When Trump lost.

 

What wasn’t smooth about it? Happened on the exact same timeline as every other president.

 

Everyone knows that Pompeo didn't want to anger his boss when he challenged the election results.

 

There was still a completely ordinary transition of power. So your comment before was just more blather.

 

Other than the fact that Trump instructed Emily Murphy not to start the transition until the end of November, that his administration never collaborated with the Biden team, and that he threw his supporters against Capitol Hill, everything was absolutely normal.

Sorry. Let’s stick to what actually happened, instead of what people said someone said that someone thought or wanted to do. The day came. The day went. Power transitioned without a hitch. Get over it already.

 

There is nothing ordinary about an ex president still telling his supporters more than 6 months after the elections that the election was stolen from him, and never having conceded defeat. The only reason Trump isn't a dictator now is because some upstanding Republicans on Michigan and other election boards who did not succumb to Trump's pressure to throw out legitimate Dem votes -- and because of Pence not giving in and certifying Biden.

 

LOL! To the religious right, religious liberty means politicians should ensure that the US is a Christian first nation. Every other religion can pound sand. Maybe they can just be straight up and call it "Christianity first".

Tell that to Hillary Clinton who spent 4 years calling the president illegitimate on guest appearances and interviews. Sounds like she didn’t accept the results either. So Trump is just following in her footsteps.

 

Hillary did concede, though. And, she didn't call state election officials to pressure them to throw out Trump votes, or ask them to "find" x number of votes to make her the winner of said state. And, last I heard, she didn't incite a mob to storm the Capitol to prevent Trump from being certified as the president. So, nice try, but no equivalency.

Why the hell should our foreign policy care about religious liberty in other countries?

 

Can you link to a few of the times she said the election was fraudulent and that Trump only won because of fake votes?
