That does not alter what I posted nor does it alter the Law of the Land.

Since when do employees have any say in what the CEO earns?

Thank you for conceding that you are UNABLE to provide a single shred of factual substantiation and instead have nothing but puerile ad homs.

That depends upon the moral character of the humans running the business, including the stock holders.

That the right wing is clueless and Causeless. Capitalism requires capital to function.

That is outrageously insulting to the genuinely poor (ie, starving).

There really should be a proviso on welfare to the effect that only disabilities which are not sel-inflicted are eligible. The purpose of welfare is to help those who cannot help themselves, not support sound bodied people who choose to harm themselves.

Most are ordinarily moral, and are doing what they do to earn a living. You appear to have a problem with people working for a living.

First of all, my tax dollars should not be educating foreigners. We have enough needy Americans who should get priority over foreigners.
Second, how much education do you think they will absorb in 2 years? It takes more than a minimal understanding of English to land a worthwhile job.
Third, there are more workers in the unskilled areas where this type of yahoo will land than their are jobs. Yahoos like this flooding the job market have killed the pay for these jobs. Hurting those who work these jobs to feed their families.

Your idea makes about as much sense as giving free cars to 16 year olds so they can learn to drive.

Nothing based on value judgements makes rational sense. That's kinda the whole point.

It doesn't apply to 'foreigners', only to refugees. Voluntary migration should exclude you from welfare - obviously. If you can't fund yourself in your new country .. stay home.

I have a friend who is the majority owner in a chain of restaurants. Here is how he explains it. In his restaurants the waiters and waitresses get $2 an hour and tips. They average around $20 an hour in tips, meaning they make $22 an hour. In a couple of states they have passed the $15 an hour minimum wage and broadened it to include waiters and waitresses. First of all, this meant his waiters and waitresses were making $35 an hour or $70,000 a year. Anyone thinking they are worth that kind of money is not playing with a full deck. More importantly most of his restaurants employed 4 waiters. That means $60 an hour in overhead. For a 12 hour day, that means $720 of overhead every day. His business do not make enough to cover that. He handled that by firing all his waiters and waitresses in these locations. Now the customers go to the counter, punch in what they want, swipe a credit card and go to the table. One of the kitchen help brings out their food. He said his customer base has accepted this and some prefer it because they save the tip money.

What a $15 minimum wage actually does is kill jobs that used to pay $22 an hour.

What the F*** is a refugee if he is not a foreigner? 90% of the A-holes who come here claiming refugee status are just playing the system. It buys them time to get lost. Those who are actual refugees are among the most unemployable immigrants we get. This horse-s*** excuse that they are fleeing violence does not hold water. They move to cities like Chicago where their is far more violence than where they came from. Total BS.

I see you lack reading comprehension. It is a $2 wage plus $20 in tips, equaling $22 an hour. That equates to a $44,000 a year job. You must be a European where the people are too cheap to tip.

Less than our current regime; and, the poor will be able to afford to pay taxes so the right wing won't have that to complain about. Imagine that.

Should Labor have to care, how much of a deduction employers get for simply paying wages?

You mean,.. Europeans expect service and a tip is just when they go beyond that. Where the US managers are too cheap to pay a honest day wages for a honest day work.

Are you really that desperate with such a reply?

I've worked my entire life. I'm all for working people, and I'm all for their receiving just compensation for their work.

With CEOs earning often thousands of times what the average worker earns, we long ago reached a point of obscenity in the disparity between pay for the two. What, are CEOs supra human? Are workers sub human?

Today's corporations, for the most part, do not know the difference between right and wrong. You appear to be in that same category.

The cost of living is higher in the US than in most of the rest of the world too.
How about you vector that fact in your argument?

Labor should get a deduction for simply working.
