Hi. Guess what arrived this morning? http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=10234&seq=1&format=2 2560x1600 is such a step up from 1280x720 and 1920x1080. For $550 it's an absolute bargain. Thought I'd let you guys know.
I've calibrated the panel using a colorimeter (which also corrects gamma, contrast and brightness) - it looks absolutely insane. 2560x1600 + wide color gamut + Supersampling AA makes games look absolutely lifelike. It's awesome I find myself staring at text because it looks so nice, even up close. So yeah, if you have a spare $550 lying around, I'd definitely recommend it.
That's cheap for an IPS panel. I've never heard of the monitor manufacturer, but do you know who makes the panel they're using?
