You are using a computer invented by a woman who also invented the compiler for the computer programs you are using so you should :salute: her invention by drinking a cold beer that women invented which you took out of a refrigerator that women invented. BTW it was women who invented windscreen wipers and car heaters and another woman who figured out wireless frequency hopping so you can use your cell phone. Plenty more of the inventions that you use every day were invented by women.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean - Marxist-uoriented, collectivist trash movements like National Socialism, Communism and Feminism.

That you cannot distinguish the vast difference between the last and the first two says volumes.

It also effectively disqualifies you from having any significant interaction on this topic as far as I am concerned.

    Have a nice day!

All I am saying is that they all are movements that are based on Marxist philosophy. I am not equating Feminism to Nazism and Communism, although the philosophical links are nearly indistinguishable.

    Sorry, what was that?

You know, if you really wish to have an argument where you prove me being guilty of "making stupid assumptions", the way to go is to show where I made these, explain why they are stupid and suggest how I should see it instead. Otherwise, there really is no point, whatsoever, in posting here at all.

Perhaps you are in need of signing up for a workshop yourself. :)

Let’s start with the inane “ marxist incoherence “..that is a stupid assumption. The comments are stupid because you don’t know what I teach
We explore all forms of prejudice.....sexism, ageism, racism, sexual orientation, disabilities, geographical, classism etc and it’s all interactive..lots of different viewpoints...and one thing we don’t do is use silly terms like “ Marxism “ as a scare tactic.

It is neither a "stupid comment" nor a "scare tactic"; usually, all of the topics you mentioned above are the focus of people with a Marxist view of society. How you interpreted this as a "scare tactic" in the first place is beyond me since the term in itself is just the name of a philosophy.

Thanks for mansplaining. ...little guy !
I really hate feminism too because the ideology that women should have equal rights and opportunities is just awful. We should not have access to all these resources. Look what has happened! Colleges are 60% female now and medical schools in law schools are 50% women.

Oh OK people who talk like you and focus the way you do have a fascist view of society. I say scare tactic because scared people use words like Marxist and commie etc. Accusing people of being Marxists is typical of extremists.

Aaaaand you just accused me of being both "Fascist" and "misogynist" in two posts in a row, isn't this a "scare tactic" too?

I am not in any means of the word a "Fascist"; I resent totalitarian authoritarianism, collectivism and regulations. However, it is pretty clear that you are a fan of Marxist sociology; which isn't really bad in itself, but the fact that you seem to think there is something wrong with it and don't even realise you ascribe to it is rather weird.

I would say that the epitome of incoherent argumentation and blatant accusation is calling people "Fascist" and "misogynist" for no real reason at all.

Th facscist comment was mocking you.....Making a ridiculous over generalization.
Capitalism has treated me very well, but just because I care about the needy, I. Just be a Marxist. OK Mr. McCarthy.
I think you are misogynistic....You have bashed feminism which only means equal rights for women

And you still don't understand how you are a Marxist. Wow! What makes you a Marxist is that you view society as one of "Privileged Groups" and "Unprivileged Groups" where the previous "exploits" the latter and one where there is a constant conflict between the two groups. If an individual is successful you look at them and say "must be because of their privilege!" and when someone fails you look at them saying "institutional and structural oppression!" This is what makes you a Marxist. This is what is called a Marxist in academia. As someone who gives lectures about sociological matters, it really is catastrophic that you don't know what makes a Marxist.

I have over 4000 posts on this board and if you can show to me just one post where I express misogynistic views, I will give you that I am a misogynist. Until then, nope.

Silly me to think there are privileged groups and underprivileged groups. We are all the same, My poor black students and I had the exact privileges.
You are an extremist who can only see in extremes and enjoys labels. I know Marxism and it’s so silly to use that broad brush. I’m sure you’ll be calling me a communist in a few more posts..that’s part of the ritual of righties.
You see for the past hundreds of years white men have indeed had privilege and my husband is the first want to tell you that had he not been white and had not been male In the70s he never would have been given the opportunity to become a trader and retire in his 40s. He was high school drop out, by the way. It’s different now, or so you think it just happened in a vacuum? All those damn marxists!
I have shown you where your misogyny comes in..whenever you put down feminism and paint it with your one fits all brush . You only see black and white

More or less, you - indeed - had the very same "privileges" because in the West, we enjoy equality of oppurtunity. Of course, nature cannot be completely ignored in a society built on the notion of equality of oppurtunity and, for example, someone born without arms does not have the same oppurtunity becoming a professional basketballer as someone born with arms, but that has nothing to do with "institution privilege" and all to do with the fact that nature is not equal.

May so be that you have had some advantages over your Black students. This, however, has nothing to do with race and if you think it has, you are implying Blacks are failures by default which makes you a racist.

I am not using labels, it is you who is guilty of that with all of your "privileged/unprivileged"-crap. I am an individualist down to the bones.

Your husband succeeded because he was industrious and intelligent, not because he was White. If you think the only reason he was a successful trader is because he is White, then you are not only being a racist and demeaning his entire life, but also are you a not so good wife. You should be proud of him! Not accuse him of being handed success out of the blue.

Since when is the defintion of misogynist "someone who does not like Feminism"?

Since feminism means sexual equality (equal rights). If one is not for equality for both sexes then they are misogynistic.

If one does not want women to have the same rights as men, that IS a form of hate.

There could be NO other reason for not wanting women to have equal rights.

I love it when white guys tell women and blacks what they should think and know . I love it when a white guy says that the races and genders are treated equally and that there is no difference
Thanks for telling me why my husband succeeded but he would be the first to tell you that if he had not been white or if he had been a female he would never have been given the opportunity to go down on the trading floor when you did. That was white male privilege days..but obviously you know more about Wall Street than he does. I guess you believe that there weren’t industrious and intelligent people of color and women...
Your asinine conclusion that I am not proud of him and that he was handed his success out of the blue is so typical of you. He was not handed success out of the blue. And I am very proud of him for succeeding when he was given the opportunity. But in your world
You conclude because I oppose discrimination means I don’t support my husband, But then again as I say, he is open enough to say he got the opportunity when others didn’t. It does not diminish that he was industrious and intelligent it just means that others who are industrious and intelligent were denied the same opportunity.

Unbelievable...you don’t even know what feminism is....no wonder you wouldn’t want to take my course, you would need remedial tutoring
    Feminism
1: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes
