It is always shocking to me to see that the US that prides itself on being the land of opportunity is constantly run like a third world dictatoship when it comes to nepotism and this from the very start (john quincy adams, son of john adams). I have no idea who Markey is who defeated a Kennedy in the recent Massachussetts elections, but I am delighted. Why are congress and senate seats guaranteed to a candidate just because his name is Kennedy? The Bushes were not much better, had W not ended up being such a catastrophic president there were more Bushes ready to take the mantle. And even though I am a Hilary backer, it never sat well with me that the wife of a president got to run
Which leads me to the Trump familia. Does it not genuinely make Trump supporters uneasy to see the RNC convention and see that pretty much every main speaker is a Trump? That Ivanka and Jarred have been given power despite no experience, no election, and no trust from the American people.
Would be curious to hear any trump supporters defend this blatant nepotism

I am not a die hard fan of either side. I'm actually frustrated that we have only these two candidates. With that said, wouldn't you want your loved ones to be in good paying jobs? It's not these people's fault that the public is willing to vote them in just because of their last name? People voted for Reagan and Schwarzenegger to political offices. We have a serious problem with idolizing celebrities so we can't blame the people that are wiling to rely on that to get their loved ones ahead.

I think it says a lot that he has such support from his kids in his campaign efforts. It would be more concerning when/if they ran for president but then that only as concerning as all the other presidential candidates you mentioned running on nepotism. Although nepotism is entirely accurate because its not the previous president who selects the next one.
