    Hello all.
    New here.
I love politics and getting opinions and naturally giving opinions.
Boy... has this been the most interesting election ever ????
Two candidates not too many actually like, and a real test for American politics.
    Which one will it be?

    Well, I have a prediction.
Donald Trump seemed the candidate that could not be stopped, but something has now changed.
Maybe the electorate are waking up, and getting serious about Donald Trump?
Donald was indeed fun while he lasted, but things are getting serious now and the fun time is coming to an end.
People prefer a little wisdom and stability in the oval office, rather than a TV celebrity host.
After all, we did have fun with Donald Trump, but people that vote also have kids and families and jobs and car payments and house payments and rent payments, and while everyone certainly loves a game show they really want a sound leader.
Hillary may not be the best we have ever seen, but she is good enough.
And Donald Trump just isn't going to do it. Not this time around.

I believe reality has finally set in for even the most conservative republicans.
Yes, even the Hillary haters that now realize they have only two choices to pick from.
The fun and games suddenly replaced by family and future.
And I predict in the following few weeks, with every poll that comes out, we will see Donald Trump take a hit in his poll numbers.

People call the boost of late for Hillary's poll numbers a post convention bounce.
But I believe this is much more than that.
I predict in the next four to six weeks, with every poll, Donald will take a 2 - 4 point hit, and by October 1st Donald's polls will be down somewhere into the 20's.
And as that happens for the republican candidate of choice, Donald Trump, total fear will set in for the republican establishment.
    In fact, complete panic.
Republicans will look at this nightmare in two ways.
First, they will hope that all the polls are simply wrong, and a Donald comeback will come any day.
Or second, they will forget about Trump and winning the presidency, instead focusing on saving the house and senate.
After all, they will come to realize that a president Hillary Clinton might not be so bad if republicans can save the house and senate to block and restraint the Hillary Clinton agenda.
Just as they have done during the Obama administration.

If republicans accept defeat with the presidential election and instead hang onto the house and senate, that for them would certainly be the next best thing to winning the presidency.
And if that is do-able, then republicans can lick their wounds and carry on after Donald Trump's defeat.
Focusing on stopping the Clinton agenda by controlling the remaining two segments of government.
If republicans have any hope of crawling out from this train wreck in one piece, they had better look to the local elections, the house and senate, and forget about what could have been.
That is, if they hope to survive 2016.

Republicans are hopeful the polls will begin to recover for Donald Trump, but I only see more devastation and disaster.
And yes. I predict weeks before the election, Donald Trump's polls will be in the 20's.
    Why?
Because as fun as Donald Trump has been, it's coming down to serious time.
And even his supporters will realize they would rather see Donald on TV firing contestants than leading the country as president.
Everyone loves a party. But the time comes to go back home to family, responsibility, and sobering up.

    Prediction.
Donald Trump, with decreasing poll numbers bottoming out into the 20's.
If within the next few weeks when new polls are released, if we don't see Donald's poll number eaten away by 2, 3, 5 points at a time, then my prediction was wrong.
But the thing to watch is for the this downhill trend to take place, a few points at a time, consistently.
My only question, at what point will the republican establishment realize they have no hope for taking the presidency, and make a hard 180 to save the house and senate?
Not to mention state level elections.
