there's nothing wrong with removing politically insensitive statues. its one of the first thing Americans did when when we declared independence.
I was in New Orleans at the beginning of the month. I had a fun time. These statues need to be in museums, period.
Is there any difference surrounding the circumstance(s) of toppling those statues as opposed to removing Confederate statues?
Not really. You're trying to minimize the act of defending slavery by comparing it to dictators. The south fought to preserve slavery, they lost - period. The losers of the war have no place in public squares. Black taxpayers shouldn't have to fund that stuff.
*Reads post* Baaahhaahhaahhhaaa! *Wipes eyes and reads it again* You simply cannot be serious. There's plenty of hate to go around. You pubs have it in spades.
correct. I don't have a problem if there are statues or whatnot of Nazis in WW2 museums, but not in public squares. I'm not sure why my fellow conservatives are so insistent on holding onto the Confederacy.
because the Confederacy represents white resistance and white supremacy. its that simple. its not about heritage, of history, or anything else. its about white people standing up to minorities and minority rights.
The conservative guys who I hang out with don't care about the fact I'm brown. They care that I think/agree with them. Isn't the left just like this, if not worse ?
What we are hearing is hate from blacks and guilt-ridden white snowflakes toward conservative white for no other reason than white skin color You are the racists
