Just recently I've noticed that when viewing likes, when I click on the link to the post, a new tab opens. I'm curious if this is on purpose or if it's something that unknowingly changed. Thanks John M
I noticed that about a week ago, Johnny....brought it up in this thread: http://www.politicalforum.com/annou...3-announcements-additional-like-features.html PF says they're looking into it. If you have a smart phone, can you review a liked post?....mine won't let me have more than one open tab, so I can't now that this is going on.
It's not an issue per se. The Likes page is supposed to open links in new windows. Two members above would rather that they didn't open new windows, but I'm uncertain which is better.
Besides the phone issue, I have another little gripe with the new tab opening. If I'm not careful about closing the new tab immediately after reviewing the "liked" post , I'll have a half dozen PF tabs littered across the top of the screen. This happens because sometimes I'll absent mindedly refresh the new PF tab to get back to the main page and go back to what I was doing before being sidetracked by the notification....and if I review another "like" notification that pops up while in the new tab, a third PF tab opens. Rinse and repeat that scenario a few times, toss in some ADD/ADHD, a dash of OCD, a distraction or two, and a sprinkling of age related memory issues, and...well......PF tabs everywhere!
Could be. Honestly, Shangrila, I've just recently transitioned from an antique "flip phone" to the high tech fancy crap....so, I haven't figured everything...well, much of anything... out yet.
Yep, this dinosaur didn't come into the personal computer ownership age until around 2007...and I'm still amazed and befuddled by the machines....machines my 16 year old son can build, program, hack, and write code for... (but he can't change the oil in his dirt bike.....)
