In politics and sociology, divide and rule (or divide and conquer) is gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy. The concept refers to a strategy that breaks up existing power structures and prevents smaller power groups from linking up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divide_and_rule this is what US does!divide and rule!! US is doing what ever it can to keep people in Middle East weak.and this is one of it's way.and seems, it doesn't care what it brings about for people another example for that is : http://www.politicalforum.com/political-opinions-beliefs/406218-us-pro-anti-isil.html are U agree with this US method?!does US have this right to do that?!
First, Iraq was an artificially constructed "country" devised by the League of Nations almost a hundred years ago, and it is obvious the three main divisions there (Shiite, Sunni and Kurds), well, let's just say they don't play well together. Being as how they are mostly clustered into three regions, and are unlikely to coalesce into one unified country, partitioning the country into three smaller ones might keep the peace. Or not. But what we presently have sure as hell isn't working. Should the U.S. be involved? have the right to do it? Maybe, maybe not but I've not heard too many other decent suggestions. After all, the only thing we seem to want for them is what they want.
that is not true. they lived together for many years very well but after US interference every thing ruined!do U have any explanation for this: http://www.politicalforum.com/political-opinions-beliefs/406218-us-pro-anti-isil.html ??
They never did much get along or "live well together" until Saddam Hussein took over in 1979 and ruled with an iron fist: Iraq is a republic located in the Middle East. Its borders, drawn by Britain after War World I, contain diverse religious and ethnic groups. The country gained independence in 1932, but the subsequent decades were marked by internal conflict based in part on the lack of practicality created by the arrangements that Britain had made. In 1979, Saddam Hussein assumed power and ruled Iraq tyrannically until his downfall in 2003.
nope! actually people in middle east lived well together but policy of divide and rule mad Ottoman as a powerful country divide in to many smaller weak country. (this is what happened to some European countries after second world war too) and this policy still continues. and today U see Iraqis still wants to be united (as their candidate in Parliament condemned US policy) but many satellite channels supported by US are trying to make people change their mind.... or US is following this policy by helping Wahhabis this is what mad Ukraine ruined ...
The US should do whatever it takes to ensure our national security and that means keeping power structures from forming that may challenge us. I am not sure why the OP wants to see the US threatened by another superpower, perhaps he hates America.
