I liken foreigners who want to destroy our rights concerning arms to the fox that lost its tail in the famous Aesop fable
Human life is temporary. None of us are getting out of here alive, and these physical experiences we have (yes, plural, we live more lifetimes than all the grains of sand on all the beaches on the earth, to some similarly similar exponential) exist for a reason, and death is just a new beginning. Besides, if I put aside the bigger philosophy, life being of paramount value means we all have the birthright of defense of our lives, and those of others, and that out of necessity includes the absolute Source-given right to the tools required to protect them. Either road you want to pick, your thesis is wrong.
The only thing I have an opinion about with regard to UK is the weird king queen crap. Do they just have too much money out something?
Laws and signs only stop people that are afraid of the consequences. Someone that is going to ignore the penalty for murder is going to ignore every other law you might pass. Eighty years ago your country was begging our country to send them guns to defend themselves with.
Careful, wouldn't want someone to report you to UK police for making them feel bad online. You know, since you don't have a right to "mouth froth" in the UK like we do.
I too, question the numbers, especially 2015 and beyond. This handy little chart also conviently leave out the more critical years of 1970-2010ish, where a clear clime in crime, followed by a massive decrease is suspiciously missing. Finally, using raw numbers, without factoring in population is meaningless. If a city goes from let's just say 10 homicides in one year to 20 in the next, using those numbers, it appears to have doubled. But if the population of this fictional city tripled, it's actually a reduction.
I would like for them to explain their motives for their presence here in the first place. I can appreciate an interest in debate for debate's sake, after all, 99.99% of what happens here is just that (or the term I prefer is 'mental masturbation'), and why they think it is their business to stick their noses into our affairs when they need our permission to even come here. I've asked and asked and asked, most of the time it's completely ignored as though I were using white text on a white background and nobody could read it, and the very few exceptions to that, all I get is mumbo jumbo that is nonsensical. Should this apply to anyone reading this who wants to chime in on my questions, by all means, be my guest.
Please do tell us, oh great and powerful sage, what you consider to be 'guarded thoroughly'. Notwithstanding that I have already explained to you that 'sin' is a man-made concept, it is absolutely something that has no place in our civil laws. Ergo, any linking of gun prohibitions being appropriate because 'enabling suicide is a great sin' is to be rejected out of hand. What arrogance you displayed using only a few words. Humans are not even the only sentient, conscious beings on this planet, and considering there are countless trillions of galaxies, each containing countless trillions of suns, most if not all of which that have planets of their own, any thought that humanity is the only important thing in the Universe is both preposterous, but also a mathematical impossibility. And a sign of significant arrogance and As interesting a topic as that is, I have written, and deleted hundreds of words on it as it is irrelevant to the subject at hand. However, pointing out the arrogance and ridiculousness of your position is not, because any reasoning in favor of gun control based on a religious framework is to be given no consideration to what laws we create.
That's not a source. And even if it was, it includes suicides, unintentional, undetermined, legal interventions, and acts of war, none of which have anything to do with the topic.
there are no logical fallacies of the pro gun position. we don't have to lie about why we own guns or what the second amendment means
not nearly as great as trying to restrict the natural rights of free citizens by bearing false witness
