Nikki Haley would DESTROY Biden. So shouldn't the entire Republican machine rally around her?

    Christie's got that Warmonger vibe like Haley does, and he would have done better but he got sidetracked by the notice that his door dash order was on its way.

    [IMG]

    There isn't as much support within the GOP for warmongers, like Haley, as there is on the Left.

    Do you mind if I don't always just take your personal judgement, for things? Could you possibly cite, specifically, your basis for calling both Christie & Haley "warmongers?" It seems to me that the exact same attitude as Haley's-- I have no sense of Christie's foreign affairs views, except maybe that he agrees with the policy of supporting Ukraine against Russia's invasion-- was until recently, called by Republicans, being "strong on defense."

    You will get no argument from me, that the G.W. Bush administration, was unduly, in fact foolishly, belligerent. But I seriously doubt that you have a credible case for associating either of those two Republicans, with Bush-2 style policies. I'll wait to see, however, what evidence you can muster.

    Of course not. Do your own research and make up your own mind.

    As already explained, my impression is that your charge against Haley & Christie, of "warmongerism," is bunk. I was suggesting that you should explain the reason, underpinning your judgement-- if you'd intended your assertion to be part of this thread's argument. Otherwise, I will simply ignore your claim, which appears to be baseless-- as would I expect most others to do, as well.

    So what. Make up your own mind and act accordingly.
    I simply tune in to the debates, and listen when they discuss foreign policy. You're free to do the same. You seem to think everyone else has to do your thinking for you. I'm merely suggesting that you learn to check things out for yourself and make up your own mind. That might be a foreign concept on the Totalitarian Left, but it's par for the course on the Liberty and Freedom Right.

    Nikki is a Zionist. Which makes her a defacto warmonger NeoCon.

    @chris155au

    I just thought you'd be interested in this new poll, from another thread.

    <Snip>
    Another possible factor is message-sending
    . A hypothetical vote-preference question 14 months before an election is predictive of nothing; it's best seen as an opportunity for the public to express its like or dislike of the candidates. Biden is broadly unpopular and doubts about his suitability for a second term are extensive; wherever they end up in more than a year, a substantial number of Americans today are taking the opportunity to express their displeasure.

    In one example of message-sending,
    among people who say Trump should be prohibited by the U.S. Constitution from serving again as president, 18% also support him over Biden for 2024. Such people seem to be expressing their antipathy toward Biden, not their support for Trump.
    <End>

    Another highlight you might like to know, is that DeSantis is back in second, in this poll, but down from the prior poll's 25%, to now 15% support; all other candidates, are in single digits. However, note that this is not among just Republicans, but also Republican-leaning Independents. These are the types of differences, you have to keep in mind, when comparing different poll results. In this poll, Trump's support to be the GOP nominee, among those two groups I just named, was 54%.

    The main headline, though-- keeping in mind the first quote, above, about the relevance of a poll, at this juncture-- is that Trump extended his lead over Biden by 5 points, to 51 to 42%. The article says that Trump's 3 point gain, & Biden's 2 point loss, were both statistically within the margin of error, from their last poll.

    No-- you, rather, seem unaware that this is a site for political debate.

    Or, perhaps you do not realize that debate necessitates the presenting of an argument?

    You do understand, don't you, that a debate argument entails giving more than just your opinion, but also the reasons for your viewpoint?

    If trump does get re-elected he’s going to have to serve at least two years from Fulton county prison. That’s honestly a highly likely scenario.

    Trump is way more likely to do that.

    The Trump cult makes it impossible for Nikki Haley to win.

    Based on the reality that everything sucks right now. Biden is a walking corpse and embarrassment. And progressives trying to throw everything at Trump to see what sticks has apparently just given him martyr status since he's killing it at the polls.

    Yes, Trump is killing it in the Primary polls, but what does this have to do with the general election?

    He seems to be keeping pace just fine in the general as well. And in some cases has a decent enough lead.

    Because of all the things I just quoted about Biden.

    To be specific, what was said about Elder was that he is the "black face of white supremacy." So I guess the equivalent for Haley would be that she is the brown face of white supremacy. They may also run with: Haley is the female face of the patriarchy. To which the obvious question to any stupid lib who would say such dumb crap would be: can you even define "female?" :roflol:

    The difference is Trump didn’t understand what he was doing cause he’s dumb and that’s what makes him antiestablishment.

    It's 'high crimes and misdemeanors', which has been understood to include ordinary crimes ('misdemeanors'), but it could be non crimes like abuse of power, dereliction of duty ('high crimes': the term “high” in the legal and common vocabulary of the 17th and 18th centuries of “high crimes,” is activity by or against those who have special duties acquired by taking an oath of office that is not shared with ordinary persons.)

    yeah, right

    "North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen … he has been very threatening beyond a normal state. They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before" --Donald Trump

    It's amazing you ignore Trump's bizarre and dangerous unhinged presidency, the details of which are in a number of books which will send a chill up any sensible and reasonable person's spine, especially during his last year, you gloss over it completely and think Biden is the bad guy.

    The other big draws to trump are
    2x impeached
    voted out as incumbent
    took gov't documents and refused to return them. Resulting in a criminal case against him.

    Bottom line, MAGA is not for law and order. MAGA is not for the democratic process of electing a president.
    Those are the big draws to trump.
